This is a great tool to remove staples from the back of photo frames. Use a piece of cardboard or foam board underneath and it leaves no marks.

This is a solid, well-built tool that is the perfect addition to my toolbox. It's easy to use and works well for removing staple gun staples from just about anything. I like that the handle is rounded and is easy to grip, which made it easy to pull out double pointed tacks from a wood block. It's much safer than using a flat-head screwdriver, which is what I've had to use in the past. While it doesn't have a whole lot of functions other than pulling tacks and staples, this tool makes an otherwise frustrating and possibly dangerous job easier and is well worth the price.

I'm very pleased with this staple remover in that it has allowed me to clear out the top of our "planter railway sleepers". We used a tacking stapler to attach anti-bird netting to the sleepers in spring, since they kept lifting planted seedlings, but the seedlings are now sufficiently robust to stand for themselves.When using a tacking stapler, it's really easy bury staples into the wood. In those cases where this happened, I've had to excavate a bit to get the point of the staple remover under the staple. It's worked every time though! the other challenge I regularly face is to complete lifting the staples, and I used to regularly have to get a pair of pliers to complete staple removal. With this unit, however, I've found that when I press down on the "loose" metal cage above the remover, the cage latches onto the staple and the entire thing lifts out without me having to resort to the pliers.This staple remover works really well and has allowed to clean up areas that have had embedded staples for years. The price is quite reasonable so I am happy to recommend this item.

This heavy duty staple remover is a handy tool for those like myself who don’t have the hand strength to pull heavy staples out by hand. This tool is going to make reupholstering an easier job. This tool has an easy handle to grip and the little compartment that catches staples while you work and helps provide leverage to pull out the staples. It is a good design and well-thought out. Also, it is fair price. I recommend it if you have much staple gun work ahead or need to pull staples out from the backs of frames.

There is a lot of furniture refinishing going on in my home - it's a hobby that has turned into more fun than we thought possible.One thing I absolutely detest is removing the staples from chairs and chair cushions, in order to replace the fabric. Some manufacturers must be paid by the staple, because there can be thousands of them in an eight chair set, and pulling them with pliers gets very old, very fast.This simple tool has one purpose: Get its nose under the staple so it can then pry it up. That's it. This simple tool does that with ease.Now you might still need a pliers because sometimes the staple will come out on only one side and you need to be able to grab it and pull it out the remainder. But this tool will have popped all one side out and loosened the other and you can easily pull out the rest of the staple. I usually go all around the chair, pull everything out, and then go back with a pliers and get the second side out. Even when you have 30 or 40 (yes!) staples jammed into a small chair, this tool will pop them out with ease.It's a simple tool that does one thing good, and I recommend it.
