The company that I contracted to update my security system assumed I still had ethernet. I disconnected all cable when I switched over to Starlink. With concerns for my elderly father it was important that I be able to view my security cameras remotely and that required an Ethernet connection. The adapter was easy to hook up and has given me peace of mind.In regard to my particular system we did have to contact Starlink because the signal would be dropped due to automated changes in their IP address. Once we were able to get hold of Starlink they were very congenial and made the necessary adjustments on their end ensuring the signal remained unbroken. The adapter was a cheap fix to a very expensive problem.

I have been struggling with proper coverage from the starling WiFi router and order an additional router to extent the network - but they never shipped it and finally canceled the order. After some confusion I realized this Ethernet adapter could solve the problems - and it did. I connected it to a TP Link DECO and not only do I have WiFi in the house and garden - but speed is much higher that Starlink - awesome upgrade and worth every cent. Plug in - set the Starlink to bypass mode in the app and connect the 3rd party router if your choice -

This works great at converting your gen 2 Starlink over to wired ethernet. It fits well and I haven't had any issues with this. Great buy!
