The mount works good. I like the solid aluminum piece that goes into the pipe mount. That should hold up nicely. I like that it is also 1/4-20, so it will also work with a variety of other mounts like a RAM mount or a tripod.The magnet itself is pretty strong. My goal with it was be able to stick this to the rails on my truck bed, but the magnet isn't quit strong enough to go through the plastic top of my bed rails. The second thought was to mount it to the roof of my truck, but it would have been a little more conspicuous there and I didn't want the unit to get stolen. Also, it was very windy the day I was going to test it, so I didn't crawl up on my truck to mount it. I did mount it to the hood of my truck with no problems and then you just use the tightener to lock in the right spot. I didn't think the magnet was going to hold, but it did fine.I like this mounting option and will definitely keep it in my travel case since it opens up several mounting options w/ the pipe mount and the magnetic base.

Excellent magnetic mount! Very compact ball head, thread as on the photo tripod, i.e. you can not only install starlink, but also use it to mount a photo/video camera...

This product is very heavy duty. Made of metal and well made. Used on our camper in the desert. It gets windy at night and it withheld the strong wind. Doesn’t scratch whatever you put it on. Super happy with this purchase. Great price as well!

This product has a strong magnetic suction. It fits perfectly the starlink. It is very heavy duty. It is also portable size and excellent quality. The base is wrapped in rubber to protect the car paint and no drilling required for installation. It is magnet.
