4 flaws:1) Violates fundamental engineering design of a clamp of this type. Clamp is intended to clamp onto a fond tube. To attach rigidly without slipping, the jaws must be tight on tube. Such tightness requires leverage. There is no leverage. The clamp force of jaw is no greater than half the tension in the jack bolt. That’s because the jack bolt is halfway between jaw (tube) and hinge (high school physics arrives at half). Tube should be situated between hinge and jack bolt, with jack bolt farther from tube than hinge. Search for “Bimini hinged Jaw Tube clamp” for an example of proper design. The lack of clamping force caused maker to place thin sheets of elastomer glued to contact surfaces of jaw. The glue slips.2) the balls abrade when tightened, and produce black particles.3) the make threaded fasteners that attach balls to the system are no corrosion proof, they appear to be carbon steel. I expect rust.4) those fasteners will not tighten sufficiently. Unscrews while in service. No place to secure a tool on one of those for tightening. The other is a knurled round disc that I grabbed with small channel locks. I’ve tried thread locker.This system might work in a static application, no heavy winds. Mine is for a sailboat, on the go, that’s one of the applications that SL Mini is intended for. An accessory mount should be designed for the same intended application.

The ball joints don't have enough friction to stop the dish flopping about, so I found I had to keep tightening the clamp until I broke the thread. Now it's held in position with string.

I like this mount for my mini dish. The mount does a good job of securing and holding my mini dish. It was easy to attach to the dish and anchor to my camper. The mount is easy to work with and does a good job of helping us maintain connectivity. The mount is easy to maneuver, adjust, and move as needed. It is also easy to set up and take down as needed when we reach a destination or breaking camp. It appears to be solidly constructed and feels like it should last quite a while. The mount has been a nice addition to my camping kit that helps us keep in touch with the world while we are camping and traveling.

This comes in a tiny box, so I wasn't sure I got everything, but after putting the 3 parts together you get a compact but mighty clamp. I used it to secure my starlink mini to the ladder of my RV so I didn't have to drill holes. It really clamps tight but I used a pair of channel locks to turn the latch and extra turn so it's not going anywhere. Strong clamp, I trust it to stay put, highly recommend.
