I bought this product so that I could punch the buffer tube lock ring onto lower receivers of ARs. This product worked great for this and has given me no issues. Is still as good today as the day I bought it!

Not the least expensive center punch, but you get what you pay for. Works excellent for staking castle nuts, or any other punch requirements. As is normal with Starret products, this one will last me a lifetime.

Like most people I've just put a bit up against something started to drill and prayed it didn't walk on me. However this latest project involved installing several flurecent light fixtures into 2x4 rafters. Space was limited I couldn't afford for the hole to be an 1/8" or 1/4" off the mark. This tool passes the KISS test. Simple, tough, effective... Just what a handyman needs.
