It went on the engine just like it's supposed to, and so far seems to be doing its job. That is, I've run the mower several hours since installing it, and the oil still looks good and the engine hasn't seized up yet (well, not from this, at least -- lol), so I figure it's doing it's thing. Seriously, the engine actually did seize up after installing this oil filter, but that was due to the inertial starter motor engaging during engine operation and grinding against the flywheel. I had to remove the starter to get the flywheel unstuck. But that's another story... Yeah, this oil filter is AWESOME by comparison to that old starter. Definitely five stars. Never been so excited about an oil filter, now that I think about it.

I install these where space permits on all Kohler engines. These filters are the longer version, have more filter area, and increase the total engine oil volume.

Works well and great quality better than John Deere OEM AND HUSQVARNA OEM OIL FILTER FILTERS FIT IS GREAT ON JOHN DEERE D140 AND HUSQVARNA yth2348 and the oil filter with the durability last longer than both manufacturers will buy from the seller again

This is actually a higher capacity filter than the one that came from the factory, and it was less cost as well.It would be nice if you could find this in a kit with a filter and spark plugs like the Generac, but I was able to shop around and find the items I needed and perform the maintenance on the generator.I will buy this again next maintenance cycle.
