Arrived quickly. I used it in a John deer 317, which was repowered with a kohler magnum18. This switch is required because of ignition differences. It fit, works as it should. Good product.

This switch worked well and was a direct replacement for my Cub Cadet Big country 6X4. But it was not till after I learned the following that I was able to get the correct switch! I am a confirmed purchaser of the wrong and the right switch!This is something advertisements don't usually tell you. That is , what are the internal connections at each key position.You may be asking yourself “ Who cares”, if the part numbers match. The factory part from Cub Cadet is $57 plus shipping! This switch which is a direct replacement is $13! Same manufacturer too!If you have an electrical print of your machine you need to find the "Legend", "Circuit Make", or as I like to call it the "Truth Table". This table will give you contacts from pin-to-pin which have continuity in each position of the switch.For instance, this switch is: OFF ------>>> M to G to A ( Magneto, and Accessories circuit go to Ground ) RUN ------>>> B to R to A ( Battery to Run to Accessories ) Start ------>>> B to S ( Battery to Starter )This is a 3 position switch with 6 pins on the back, 5 plug into a type 2973422 connector. The 6th pin in this case is a case ground.The point I am trying to make is! If all you know is the number of pins on the back of the switch, You Really Don't Know Anything! If the pins are not marked with the same Letter designation then the chances are that it will not work!Good Luck and Happy Hunting!!!

Works perfect on my 1988 Wheel Horse 414-8 with a Kohler Magnum!!! Finally I can get rid of my huge key ring clasp attached to my throttle lever I use to keep my key from getting lost in my big yard when it falls out of the key hole while mowing. I couldn't turn my old key switch completely off even with my pocket knife whenever I lost its key..lol Grrrrr! Lost my key for the last time now though. This switch is a perfect fit with no mods, tab letters all match up (most important) and the one I received actually has copper prongs not just cheap tin, what a great surprise there. This one has (6) prongs total and same (3) key positions stop/run/start as oem. A high quality ignition switch I can still use my old original INDAK keys in so its just like its the OEM switch. Very Happy WH Tractor Owner' Thank you Stens/INDAK for keeping it original.Be sure to install it with the shafts drain hole down......UPDATE: Less than 3yrs it has now failed. It fails to shut my engine off and fails to turn on every time leaving you cranking it too, it takes several tries. These may look the same but they certainly aren't making them like they used to, my first one lasted 30+ yrs...In fact it's my first WH key ignition failure on my 4 WH tractors. First failure was wore out & still started/stopped engine after decades. Meaning' Indak/Stens can make these last, they just no longer care too.
