The lids lock on these and they are water tight which is important because I have them in the bed of my truck. I carry parts and tools in them. Easy to load and move around to get what parts or tools I need. They last about a year in the hot Arizona sun and heat, but are not that expensive when I need to replace them.

Daughter has given up her apartment and put her things in storage. She required stackable plastic containers for storage unit, and these worked well. Although they are now three times what they were in 2019, the quality is at least decent. They stack without collapsing. I would purchase again (hopefully, next time back closer to original pricing), but I believe they will last at least four or five years. Of course, HER storage is heated indoors, so won't be susceptible to cold cracking (we hope). For recycling trash, maybe not as long as we believe it will last for us, as they ARE plastic.

Overall does its job. Older model lids were reinforced with horizontal indentations in the plastic, so stacked bins seemed more sturdy. These have flat lids that I'm afraid might get squished/ indented with stacking heavy bins.
