I ordered this based on the glowing reviews after my OEM unit failed. I kept having issues with the brake lights staying on. I noticed that the switch would be pushed out after driving and would cause the lights to turn on. I run a custom engine so the only problem I experienced was the lights being on. I was able to get a used OEM unit from my father and measured both of them where they push in on the bracket and this one was 0.075 smaller in diameter. I tossed the OEM one and haven't had the issue arise again. This was just my experience though.

Part works fine and got brake lights working again on my 92 dakota. Be ready to wrestle with the old part trying to remove it! Its waaayy up there under the dash with lots of obstructions.

Works, but on my vehicle the threaded switch mount is held in place by a sharp conical washer instead of a nut. There is no nut that comes with the switch, so you have to recover the one from the original without loosing it and reuse it.
