My 20 year old storm door latch broke and this was an almost perfect replacement. The mounting holes for the latch (the part that's internal to the door) are about a quarter inch further apart on the new piece, but using the existing bottom screw hole and drilling a new top hole (about a quarter inch higher than the existing hole), the new latch and deadbolt aligned with the existing striker plate for a fairly easy installation. As other reviews have mentioned, I did have to obtain longer screws to connect the door handle plates as well as removing the C-clips (just pop them off with a slotted screwdriver, no special tool needed) so you can switch the handles from plate to plate depending on personal preference if you want the end of the handle to point up or down. I'm not a fan of the double key tumbler for the deadbolt, my old latch used a single key tumbler with a thumbturn on the inside, fortunately my original tumbler fit right into the new latch and I was able to use it.

It was a great replacement for our broken door handle and a relief because it’s hard to come by the replacement that fit my particular door. You do need longer screws than what’s provided but it works and it’s attractive.

Like the finish. The installation was a bit brutal. This is not an easy replacement for an existing door unless you get lucky with the dimensions of the through holes. The width and length of the cover plates helped by covering the old holes. Had to key out the deadbolt hole as it is closer to the front of the assembly than my previous one. The through holes needed to be made. The through screws were too short as mentioned by others. Since I was putting this on a rather crappy big box stores storm door, I figured it would not affect me. But it did. I did get longer screws from the hardware store. 2" worked but I had to tap out the threads in the assembly as they were burred up from the get-go. This is definitely a problem from the factory but not insurmountable. All in all, it looks good, feels like a sturdy unit that will hold up and decent price. Install was a pain.

Needed to replace the handle on a Pella storm door. This seemed like a good option. Took a little work to get it installed but it’s working great and looks good. Had to drill out the door so everything would fit and had to run to the hardware store because the screws were to short to go all the way through the door.

The latch on the unbranded storm door on the house I recently purchased broke. The latch works great, and although it's not the same size as the old latch, it's just a matter of drilling new holes for the screws in the door frame. Just measure the current latch to make sure you can make adjustments to make it work properly, but I expect that in most cases the needed adjustments should be made. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it, the quality is great.

It was missing the tool to remove the black spring to switch handle from left to right. Also the screws provided are not long enough to install on door frame.

We bought this replacement storm door knob, but they gave us the wrong screws and didn’t give any of another. My husband had to go to the hardware store to get ones that would work. Although I feel we deserve something of a refund for all the aggravation and inconvenience I am sure that won’t happen. My husband is quite the handyman and was able to make things work.
