This sealer is really terrible. I tried it on multiple kinds of straps. It completely melts one side and leaves the other just fine. The heat is not controlled in any way, and the pressure can’t be applied to bind the straps. It’s a bad design and a useless product.

This item was contrary to any tool I have ever bought. It heated up … but the way the mechanism works is contrary to what it is actually supposed to do. It is basically a piece of Chinese garbage and not worth an American nickel. Don’t buy it.

We were able to use it about 10 times and it started to fail, taking time to heat up, right now it doesn't heat anymore. Very poor quality, buying it is throwing money away

Wow, where to start. I am a real person who bought this from Amazon. This strapping hot melt sealer is far from production ready and is in fact dangerous. The heating element is not temperature controlled and gets very hot in a short time, too hot to use. While we were able to crimp a few reasonable banding straps multiple people made dozens of attempts and never found any consistency in the quality or reliability of the strap crimp. The tool gets very hot and quickly overheats the strap, or it is not sufficiently hot and will not bind the two straps together. When inserting the tool between the straps the heating element begins to melt and then burn the strap under tension, often breaking the strap before the tool is fully inserted. If you are able to insert the tool the hearing element must be pulled from between the two straps prior to crimping, this often pulls the straps out of alignment and the crimp fails. If the strap does not burn when the tool is inserted, and the strap is not pulled out of alignment when the heating element is pulled out, then the straps may have too little crimp or may be partially burned through, you have little to no control of this. In the end the bands have no consistency and most if not all of the crimps were rejected for poor quality. I am returning this dangerous device and recommend Amazon pull the product until it can be made to work properly.
