I love this violin hanger. It came packaged well and was easy to install. It has a simple and elegant design and is very sturdy. The material on the hook keeps it from dinging or scratching the violin. The bow holder has a rubber material that keeps the bow in place. Overall I could not be happier. Highly recommend.

I just hung it on my wall earlier today and just figured I’d leave it there and maybe practice tomorrow when I had more energy. After a few hours I figured, “well, it’s hanging right there, I might as well make sure it’s in tune,” and I ended up doing a bit of practice anyway while I had it out. It’s very easy to install, pleasant to look at without being intrusive and make a practicing extremely convenient. It’s very well made (so far as I can tell) and comes with everything you need to attach it securely to the wall regardless of whether or not you can find a stud to stick it to.I highly recommend this product especially if, for one reason or another, you suffer from a lack of motivation to practice your music.

This little violin hanger does what it was designed to do—hold violins while mounted to the wall. Given the weight of the stringed instruments this hanger was designed to hold, the mounting hardware is sufficient, though its is far from "heavy duty". This can be a concern if you're dealing with childrens' instruments as kids can be clumsy and not delicate. I can see this thing being accidentally ripped from the wall with a careless bump or firm pull.If you're concerned about the strength, you could always find a longer screw or toggle bolt to replace the provided hardware and that should solve the issue.

I actually bought this to hang an erhu (pronounced like "ar! hu!?"), also called a "Chinese violin", and it works fine for that purpose. An erhu also has a bow like a violin and the bow hanger works fine for the erhu bow.I found the drywall anchors to be very sturdy. They're the "self-drilling" deep-grooved screw type that will hold very securely, but it seems like some people don't like them because they take up too much space in the drywall and will leave a larger 1/2" hole in the wall to patch if removed. But they are quite secure and the amount of drywall displaced isn't an issue if you don't need to remove them. They are plastic rather than zinc.Almost nothing seems to come with drywall anchors that make everyone happy, but these aren't useless and will hold unlike the ones most products come with. Anyone who wants better wall anchors will pretty much have to go buy themselves a pack of butterfly type expansion anchors because nothing seems to come with those.

This is a great violin hanger! It’s beautifully finished wood, very sturdy, and easy to install. I ordered it Saturday evening, and it came today (Mon. morning!) I’m a new violin student, and wanted a spot to safely keep my violin away from kittens, yet be able to access it easily. I also think it looks nice on my wall. I bought a second one for my Dad, as his violin is always leaning in the corner. The main reason I chose this hanger - it’s a family owned business - right here in the USA. Thank you for a wonderful product! ❤️ 🇺🇸

This would be a 5 star review except for the plastic toggles. So the plastic toggles (used to make the screws more secure if you aren't anchoring it in a wall stud) were less than worthless to me. I could not find a way to get them into the wall. They are soft plastic and were soon stripped by even minor use of the phillips screw driver to screw them into the premade holes. They did succeed in making perfectly enormous holes in my wall though. They were stuck half way in and I just felt lucky that I found a way to unscrew them from the wall when they were already too stripped to use a screw driver. I finally removed them, spackled over the enormous holes and got to work on installing the hanger without the plastic toggles- which was a breeze. The screws themselves go into sheetrock like butter- they are very easy to install and the entire thing can be up on the wall in no time. It feels very secure even without the plastic toggles and as I have only a student quality violin, I am satisfied that it is already far safer than hanging out on crowded surfaces in my small apartment.

I love these hangers. I don't have a big place and these are great space savers, they look nice and work just the way I hoped they would. They also really helped my kids practice. I have 4 of them over our piano. 4 instruments hang there: ukulele, 1/2 size guitar, 1/2 violin, and 3/4 violin. Looks nice, it's our music corner. The most important part is that it made my daughter practice her violin way more often. Maybe I should care for the bow more than I do, but instead of keeping the violin in its case, we had it hanging over the toy bins with shoulder pad attached and bow all tight and rosined. My 7 year old daughter played way less often when she had to go through the trouble of opening the case, doing all that prep: putting pads, rosins, tighting bow. Then putting it all back. When I hung the violin over her toys, every time she played with her toys, she looked at the violin. Many times a day, she's grab violin and play instead of her toys. She'd just grab it, play, and hang it back. She practiced way more often that way, and she made much bigger improvement. When we moved to a new house, I bought more and we all hung the instruments over the piano. I did the same with flutes (bought a stand and not store in cases). The smaller violin also has those wires that guide the bow (for my younger son now), as well as frog and fish to teach the correct bow hold. The frog/fish makes the bow not fit in the case well, so we bought extra bow. All that "gear" on the violin would be a major pain in the.... to put on and off. These hangers are such life savers. We only have to disassemble it all once a week to go to lessons. I would highly recommend these hangers to anyone, especially if you want to encourage your kids to practice often without reminding (or nagging).
