I bought this bad boy to show off my Nickelback geetar. It works great. I loved that it came with drywall anchors that actually work! The guitar has been hanging for over a month and no issues. Sturdy and firm. And now I'm getting dates left and right because of my Nickelback guitar. Thanks String Swing

Sturdy and easy to install. I use these for all of my stringed instruments from ukulele to bass and guitar to violin and banjo. Ten out of ten!

My favorite wall hanger! Very nice clean looks and sturdy metal build. You need a smaller/thinner body instrument like electric or Baby Taylor to mount on the wall due to wall clearance (or rack mount it). I do wish the foam was also black, instead of the dark beige. I used a Sharpie to black out the logo on top (it was gold). I bought 2 hangers and will probably buy again.

This is the third String Swing love this product! Simple but highly effective. Very reasonable price as well.

I installed my String Swing today to hang my mountain dulcimer. The hanger is one size fits all for several instruments but I was surprised that the back of the dulcimer does not touch the wall. It's hanging about the width of 3 fingers from the wall. The hanger comes with two size screws and I was uncertain which ones to use when screwing into a stud. I chose the longer ones so it took a bit more muscle than I planned on when starting out. The U-shaped hanger doesn't seem to tighten in a completely horizontal position. Since I'm the only one who will use it that probably won't be a problem. I'll just have to keep an eye on it.

I originally purchased a couple of these years ago from Guitar Center to hang my electrics on my bedroom wall, but kept coming back to buy more as my collection grew. Needless to say, I own seven of these now, and they are absolutely perfect for hanging your guitars, be it an electric, acoustic, or bass. These are supposedly meant to be attached to the cab of an amp for stage use, but are excellent for in-home use as well. They are much less bulky than their square, wooden counterparts, so the mounts pretty much fade away behind the guitars. These even come with high weight-rated drywall anchors and additional long screws to be hung on a wall anyway, so String Swing obviously acknowledges their versatility. As for the mounts, the backplate is black, textured metal, and the arms the guitar hangs from are made of semi-pliable (so they can be adjusted to each guitar) metal covered in dense, soft, dark tan-colored rubber as to avoid any damage. They also have rubber rings that you push onto the arms that prevent the guitar from slipping or accidentally being pulled off the hanger.Installation is really easy. Just grab yourself a level and pencil a straight vertical line a few inches long, then place the backplate on the wall so you can see line through the top and bottom holes, and mark their locations on the line. If there's a stud behind the location you're hanging the String Swing, just grab a drill and use the long screws included to mount the back plate. If not, slowly drill in the drywall anchors util they're flush, and attach the plate using the short screws. After that, twist on the armpiece, and you're good to go. Piece of cake, and takes less than 10 minutes.I've had a few of them hanging for over 7 years, and show no sign of wear or age. Given these String Swings do exactly what they're intended at a great price, I highly recommend them!

I have two of these. At first, I just purchased one, but I liked it so much that I decided to buy another one to hang my banjo on (same model, the fit was fine). I mounted them on the wall, I know they make one specifically for the wall, but that one has a bulky piece of light-colored wood where the fork is screwed in. It's bulky and the wood doesn't match my decor or aesthetic. This one has a clean look and is very sturdy. HOWEVER, I recommend throwing away the anchors that it comes with and buying metal toggle bolt anchors.

I've had two of these for the last 5 years and I've been very pleased with them. They're simply designed and very strong. I've had a medium weight mexican strat on one and a very heavy les paul on the other and never had any trouble with them. The rubber stoppers on the arms do a good job of holding the guitar securely in the saddle. My only complaint is the cheap drywall anchors that come with them. You'll want to get some decent ones at your local hardware store. This is a great and inexpensive item and well worth little bit of money they cost. I recently bought 4 more for some new additions to my guitar family. Highly recommended!
