It's your typical Chinese, basically made device. The support hand screws into the clamp, and the screw penetrates pretty far into the clamp area, so if you are clamping to a smaller diameter tube, the screw might hit and scratch the tube. The bow rest is built into the support hand, and prevents the violin from being placed or removed while the bow is hung. No big deal but you have to take the bow off and then the violin, and vice-versa when hanging them. I put mine onto an existing guitar stand I have. It barely works that way, as the stand is just tall enough for the bow not to hit the ground.
