Using it on 5.4l ford, easy to use. Have to play around to find the right heat that works for you. The only draw back that i can find is that the nuts to weld on to stud are soooo thin that they tend to round off easily. Other than that it works really good. While video's show cutting all of them off, I wouldn't to that.. Heat the nut and try to remove them.. if it breaks after that you've got a great tool for the job.. Also a stud remover can likely get 80% of the ones that ring off flush with the manifold.. Of course there are some that are no longer 8mm and stud remover will just spin.

This was the only thing that we tried to get bolts out of the vehicle that was being worked on. Great thing to have on hand when dealing with older vehicle and bolts that are stubborn.

Looks like a well made system but the storage box did not have any latches I'm having to use a zip tie to keep it closed

This product worked really great on this Hemi I was going to whine about the case showing up and a latch was already broken, but then I ram over the corner with the a truck so there’s that, but the case is kind of chintzy. The jig is very durable and they recommend that you hold the nozzle of the welder right in the bevel, which is great since I’m as steady as Micheal J Fox in an earthquake. And it even worked on a bolt I managed to not center the nut over, how I did that, I don’t know. Now for all the failures in the pics. I spent days asking customer service asking for tips and hints for this one bolt that wouldn’t budge. They gave me several things to try but ultimately it wouldn’t budge, idk for sure but that bolt has to be cross threaded in there so I don’t blame EZ Stud for it not coming. I tried so many things and I even tried a bigger nut on top of a weld stalactite and that didn’t even work so that’s where that bolt lives forever now. But overall this was a great investment for me. I was a little hesitant to weld near an aluminum head, but that was just misplaced fear. This kit makes it painless to accomplish the job and although I haven’t used the other jigs I’m sure they work just fine.

Removing studs on a 2004 5.7 Ram, plate would not fit flush. Had to grind edge so it would fit. After a slight modification, this tool worked absolutely perfect. Welded the nut on, quenched the stud and voila! Highly recommended!!

I just went 4/4 on a 6.0l GM! The exhaust manifold bolts on the very front and very back of both cylinder heads were snapped off flush at the cylinder head. This was no problem for the easy out stud kit and my mig welder! I used a wire brush in my drill to clean up where the stud was broken off, and put a nut in the tool with a little grease, and bolted it onto the head with an existing exhaust manifold bolt and buzzed a little weld right in the hole and done!

set says fits gm 5.3 but should say what years we purchased for a 2017 5.3 and doesn't fit this should be noted the set is not for all 5.3 gm engines contacted there customer support and they just gave me a part number to order right one
