I ordered 4 different tazers before I got this one. All were ordered from Amazon. Everyone was a duel flashlight/tazer combo. I ordered from: Police, guard dog,pain safari and an off brand. Price's ranging from $20-$100 dollars. All of them were returned because they all were cheep and unreliable. None of the flashlights were worth using. I was beginning to think all tazers were a gimmick. Then I ordered this one because my money was put on my Amazon account so I decided to give this one a try. Such a difference from the moment I opened the box. Supper easy to follow the instructions which I was concerned about because of a review that said there was no instructions and they had to wait for a replacement. It wasnt that hard to put a battery in and turn it on. The button controls are quality made and it feels durable and comfortable to use. Yes you have to press a button to turn it on then you turn the flashlight on then the taser but its super simple and doesn't take very long like some of the other reviews say it's confusing and you wouldn't have time to turn it on if being attacked but pressing 3 buttons takes just a couple of seconds. Plus this one shows your battery life so you know when to change it. My biggest fear going to use my tazer and the battery isn't charged. This flashlight is amazing too. Since all the other combo flashlight/tazer had a cheap flashlight I was surprised to see how well this one works. Differently Recommend. This is a very nice quality made tazer. It's the only one I recommend you get. Save yourself for buying a cheap tazer and order this one!!!!

Good tool to have when walking at night with unleashed neighborhood dogs, or city walking. Easy on/off and simple. Packs a jolt.

I think I finally figured out how to work this based on the instructions and reviews. But it's still intermittent at best. I press the right sequence of buttons and it sometimes works and sometimes not. Even the flashlight does not consistently work.My wife has practiced what she would say to someone while she's trying to get it to work. Something like, "Hold on. Don't take my purse. Let me get this thing to work so it will scare you or deter you." 🤣Overall, if you just need a fun toy, you can make it work. But I wouldn't rely on it for any kind of safety, flashlight or otherwise. On the bright side (no pun intended) the battery seems to last a long time while we've been playing with it. LOL. At least it's rechargeable…maybe we got a slightly defective one…? 🤷♂️Thank you for reading my review, I hope it was helpful.

I had to do a return/reship because the first one came with no instructions and faulty electrical/indicator lights. Without directions I had no idea how to get the thing to work either. There are no symbols or anything to indicate what way to put in the battery. You have to click the button on the end by the strap to turn it on, then you can use the 2 buttons to turn the flashlight and/or the stun gun on. It is good quality metal - a nice medium size & easy to use if you know what your doing. The flashlight is pretty bright & I like all 4 of the modes. I looked all over the listing & directions and I couldn’t find anywhere the actual specs of the stun gun - only that it was “powerful” (not helpful!!).I fully intended on giving this 2 stars before the 2nd unit arrived but so far it’s working much better and actually having directions really helps! The last/4th battery indicator light doesn’t seem to work though. I’m no expert on stun guns but I had one that looked like a brush and it was useless. This one is much better & I can’t say if it’d actually knock someone out if hit in the neck but I can personally say that it leaves a mark! My husband is still upset with me but I quickly tested it on my arm & it left little welts/burn type marks through my shirt. It really hurt! If the loud startling sound doesn’t make you run away, the feeling like you got hit with an electrical hot poker will definitely make you rethink your life choices lol. I don’t care what is attacking you, a person, animal or robot, I can’t imagine they are aren’t going to at least pause, if they don’t go running away in fear. I really appreciate that it comes with a holster to carry with you & have easy access to.In the end, it’s a good product but make sure to try out/inspect for potential quality control issues during the return window. I wish the seller would update the listing with the stun gun amps/etc. Otherwise, it works great - I recommend.
