Definitely the best faceoff head I've ever used. I'm a freshman playing for varsity Maryland Tome, and this is the first really expensive head I've bought. (however it's on sale). compared to the duel III, it has a better speed scoop and a stronger profile, so the initial clamps and durability is better. If you really struggle with exiting, then you should definitely go for the duel III, but in pretty much any other way, the duel II is better. DON'T BOIL IT! I promise you, it works just fine stock. Don't boil it, just break it in. The throat plug is very secure, and there's no head rattle, which honestly scares me! It really just feels like a one-piece stick the way it fits snug in my fiber x shaft. Compared to the mark 2f, this thing dominates, and has way more drip, and compared to the burn recovery, it has a much more lively clamp and grip, and the stiffness really helps with the retreat when you back out to counter or check. It performs as a standard head, great for defense and shooting (And I mean great), and the passing is the smoothest I've ever felt. It's super fun to string and has so many shooter-sidewall holes, almost halfway down the head, so stringing is a breeze. it's super easy to pull that mesh to the outside of the head, so it doesn't get in the way (especially for faceoffs) and the channel on this thing is perfect. 10/10 Good job STX!

Its great at throwing but I'm using it for face off and the side walls are already starting to hold the ball

Son loves this head, sadly his stick broke and we are having a hard time getting it replaced, but the 2 practices he used this head he said it was exactly what he needed for face off. Once we get a new stick he will be back in action...But for now, highly recommend STX heads and products!
