The belt (properly installed) along with a new tensioner and the car runs better than it has in a couple of years. Just be sure to aligned the notches on both cam sprockets with the marks on the belt. The arrows should point to the drivers side and the crank pulley keyway should be at 6 O’clock. Do that and your car will run great.

I forgot all about this belt and should have returned it, but i didn't rebuild the car and the belt was at the mechanics for 2 months, therefore not sure if i could have returned it. But i did not know the part number but went off Amazon's "This fits your car" suggestion but in the end, this belt is for SOHC engines which i believe are WRX's. the STI engine uses DOHC setup and this belt did not work. So now i have a useless belt that i'll try to sell on marketplace eventually.Never trust Amazon or other sellers in terms of fitment. It's really computer generated based on data available and it's not always correct. For the most part Amazon's suggestions have been correct but in this event i needed it to be correct and it wasn't. I honestly didn't think about SOHC vs DOHC at the time of purchase. I did think of A/C and no A/C but it did not matter here.
