Fully charged, it barely melts the thin included solder. Tried 3 other spools of solder with flux cores and it took multiple restarts of the timed on cycle to get any melting. It was impossible to tin the tip with any solder. Doesn't seem to produce enough heat to solder anything. Bought this because it's portable and easy to keep at hand for occasional solder repairs but it has proven to be of no value in actual use. . Tried it for funtionality when I first received and it seemed OK but it proved to be useless for a simple solder repair. Would not recommend to anyone. It's just a toy.

The button to activate heat is junk you really have to hold it down and it seems like it only wants to solder when it wants to 1 out of 10 wires literally I use med my old soldering pen that has no tip worked better
