I just looked this up today because I feel like I should get another battery. There’s nothing wrong with the one that came with it, I just knew it had been a few years. 4 actually and this tool is integral to my yard work. It’s awesome and has never given me a bit of trouble. It’s super easy to change the attachments. Great adjustability and fairly light. The battery life is still excellent. The clippers are still sharp and work perfectly. I trim roughly 150’ of bushes every two weeks throughout spring and summer. The chainsaw works well for the size and the leaf blower is good for sidewalks and porches.I honestly love this tool and highly recommend it! When this one eventually goes, I’ll definitely replace it with the same one.

I got this to do a massive pruning job for a lawn customer. i have nice hand tools and power sheers but i wanted the extension sheers and this kit was only $100. with the price of the job i was doing it was a no brainer, even if i destroyed it in the process. After completing this massive pruning job of 30 arborvitae, several pine trees and 50 foot row of massively overgrwon rhodies im happy to say the SUN JOE system is still alive and well! the blower sucks, absolutely useless unless you just want to move dog hair off harwood floor LOL. the hedge trimmers are really nice, all the work and i still have not sharpened them. a few times they would get jammed and id remove and continue. the chain saw is friggin amazing for a small battery powered saw. i cut down about 15 trees in my back yard just for the hell of it. well they were dropping debris in my pool. i cut down a few 8 to 12 inch trees too! i use my own diy chain bar mix of old oil from the cars mixed with a thickening and tackifier (way cheaper than bar oil) and seeing how all chainsaws leak some oil i hate paying for bar oil when a lot of it gets wasted. and this chainsaw does leak even though its brand new. now the system itself could be better. they should have made it so you can connect the tool directly to the power supply handle. using the tool is not comfortable for regular height work i.e. shrubs and smaller trees. you are wielding a massive pole when your object is only 3 or 4 ft tall LOL i have noticed the pole is wobbling at the base already. i probably put 4 or 5 years of homeowner level work on this tool in 4 weeks so i was expecting some sort of failure. i took it all apart in 5 minutes and wrapped some friction tape around the pole and put it back together and theres no more play. if you can still get this kit for even under $200 its a great addition for your yard tools. i have thoroughly abused this and its still working excellent! THE PIC OF THE CLEARING WAS 50 FT OF ROSE HIP THORNS. MASSIVE THICK THORNS AND WITH THE SUNJOE HEDGE TRIMMER , I LEGIT CUT THE ENTIRE AREA DOWN TO 1-2INCH STEMS IN 30 MINUTES! and the battery lasts a while with the hedge trimmers and chain saw. i did almost 2 hours of hedge trimmer with the 2amp hour battery !chainsaw i got about 30-40 minutes of ridiculous tree cutting.

Just received this item. Tried each attachment and they all work well. This is lighter than I thought which makes it pretty good. I also purchased a Sun Joe corded hedge trimmer that is very top heavy, but between the two should make for some interesting trimming. The battery appears to be pretty good , did not use it that long to see how long it will last.I did go to Sun Joe's web site and registered the products and they had a 5.0 AH battery on sale I purchased two of themnormally a $99 a piece battery for only $39 a piece was a Great dealThe oil that came with the system is thin and not chainsaw bar oil, appears to be for the hedge trimmer so one will have to buy bar oil to use the chainsaw attachment., which btw works really well and is not very heavy at all .But trimming and pruning season will be a real test for this system and once I use them for awhile I will see just how well it lasts and how well the battery life is. Will update this review after it is over . Hopefully it will not wear me out as much as my other sourced equipmentUpdate 9/27/23got to use this tool system . First used to cut/prune an old apple tree and Cherry tree that needed some real cutting. Had dead limbs and some large limbs that needed removed. I must say the pole saw with this unit cuts very very well . Cut a few limbs that were over 6 inches in diameter . IT cit them very easily and very smooth . I must admit I was surprised at the power this battery operated pole saw has. I still have more cutting to do,but now I know what it can do, it will make the rest of the job much easier.Next was the hedge trimmer, used on some Hemlock trees and they are very tall, way to tall to cut them with this telescopic hedge trimmer, but reaching up as High as I could I trimmed a little over 1/2 way up the tree's , I am impressed also how light this tool is and how well it cuts . I have no complaints about this tool system, IF i had one grip it would be I wish the pole was able to extend further than it does, but still a pretty good reach as is .The battery I purchased a 5.0 Ah SnowJoe battery worked for over 2 hours before the first light went out, I estimate had I continued using it and allowed it to entirely run down I assume I could have gotten 4 to 5 hours or more on one battery and that is with heavy use ( pole saw and hedge trimming work )I have more such work to do and I will update again and let everyone know a more precise time on the larger battery . The 2.0 battery it cane with I would assume would last at least a couple hours or more, but these 5.0 batts i purchased are far more than enough to get most all jobs done and have battery left .further updates soon

This is an awesome tool for the home handyman, cut my time in half for doing my hedges, no cord to deal with, longer reach, less time moving and setting up ladders, the battery life is wicked basically 2 1/2 charges for everything thing I did, I have a couple of hundred feet of hedge to do and this ate it up, bought an extra battery because of the size of my task and I didn't want to wait on charging, zero down time with 2 batteries, compared to the price of a Sthil and the amount of time I use this, once or twice a year, for me it was a worth the value, highly recommended for average joe kinda guy. Can't wait to try the chain saw on a tree I need to trim I'm sure I'll be impressed.

With my first use, I spent about two hours today trimming hedges and trees with the pruning chain saw and the hedge trimmer. While I found in some cases a challenge ergonomically from the forward weight and arm strength needed with many angles I was forced into, the overall performance and convenience are excellent.A charge held for all my needs.I was able to chop through 3" branches with the chain saw, no problem. The telescopic hedge trimmer made for much easier trimming the top off of very wide shrubs.I do wish there was an option to not use the extension pole, but by design, it is fixed to the power pack.Loses a star for some ergonomics misses and lack of practicality for up-close use.Overall, a great set for yard maintenance.I bought this for my workplace.... after using it today, I am buying it from my workplace! Better for my yard!

Bought this kit to clean up a somewhat neglected property. It's not perfect, but everything worked out OK. I'll cover the 3 attachments, then the kit as a whole. The string trimmer is the lightest duty possible. The string is only 0.056" size so it's fragile and snaps easily. Don't try to use this trimmer below 10C, it will just snap and snap. Do put the silver nose guard down or you'll find the string wears out instantly when it touches anything abrasive and you'll be constantly advancing the line by hand. I wish they'd gone for something a bit thicker like 0.080". Having said all that, it worked find to clear some weeds and edge the sidewalk once I learned to work around the limitations. It's fine, and I get the work done. Don't expect to clear 8" tall grass with this trimmer. The hedge trimmer is stellar. Zero problems. With the pole extended I was able to reach about 20ft on some massively overgrown hedges and it was a champ. I did some detailed sculpting with it and the tiltable head was a huge asset. Five stars for the hedge trimmer. The 8" chainsaw is a little champ. I cut some 2.5" branches with it and had no problems, no kickback or dangerous drama. The pole gives you a lot of leverage to control it. It doesn't seem to go through bar oil very fast so I'm not concerned about that requirement. It's cheap and you can get it anywhere.Overall, the kit is great and I can recommend it for light property maintenance. It's much quieter and less smelly than a gas system would be, and the interchangeable heads means the value for money is way better with this 3 in 1. The battery lasted at least an hour for me of intermittent trimming, sawing, edging which is good enough, as I ususally wore out before the battery did.Disappointing that they only include a "dumb" charger with the battery that you have to manually unplug after the battery is topped up. I would have preferred something I could mount on the garage wall and just rack the used battery after yardwork for next time, and forget about it. They sell them, just not with this kit. I guess it's part of keeping the price point low and affordable, which I am OK with. I bought another Sun Joe kit that has the smart charger, so I am getting one that way.Be aware that this is a "pole" kit. I know that seems obvious, but it brings some implications: the pole is fairly long and the whole kit is moderately heavy. If you are a senior with wrist mobility or strength issues, because there is a weight at the end of a pole, it gives it more leverage and it might be tough for you to raise and control. Also, because it's a pole and not a hand trimmer, it can be a bit awkward if you need to do detailed trimming close to a bush in an area with limited clear space around it. I managed OK by moving around to different angles and adjusting my distance, and the angle of the head to 45 or 90 degrees.
