I was slightly disappointed with this kit. They’re advertised as heavy duty.We live in a high wind area, so I only go for heavy hard ware kits like this. But most of the set is just nit strong enough to withstand the winds we get.The turnbuckles are thinner than expected, and try carabiners are cheap quality - not strong at all. They would snap at the first 35-40mph gust of wind. All the hardware is coated - to prevent rusting. The pad eyes are about the only thing I might say is heavy duty in this kit.

Good sun shade bracket with hooks and all necessities to setup for my backyard. I attached these to my fascia and tree in my backyard and it is holding up well. The hooks allow some leeway for the sunshade if you want it longer or shorter, and the brackets with screws easily hook up with the fascia. It is strong and even after some rain yesterday and 20-30 mph winds, it held up.

Started to add photos and realized our photos are pretty much the same as everyone else's photos in the reviews so far. This sunshade hardware kit could not be installed with our 10x12 sunshade because the parts are too weak to hold our sunshade. Ou humble opinion is this kit is not "heavy duty".These are skinny tension hooks that will not be strong enough for our often 60 mph winds for a 10 x 12 sunshade. Perhaps these would work better for a sun shade in a protected area where you only need a basic tension hook for a smaller shade - like 2x4 or smaller. The hardware is well made with a coating that doesn't scratch easily and the lightweight carabiners have a simple clasp - these would be easily pulled apart in high winds. Perhaps the strongest of the parts are the pad eyes, but we would want to use larger screws than the ones that are included to anchor them into our 4x4s..Overall feeling duped about the "heavy duty" description for these and gave 4 starts because the the measurements and the list of what you get in the kit is spot on. The black coating over stainless steel does look to be decent quality and we'll likely use these turnbuckles to hold down the shade cloth over part of our chicken coop - where these is less wind exposure. The kit is functional, just not as "heavy duty" as most of us would likely prefer to use for our larger sun shades.

To be fair, there's nothing wrong with this set. It has a variety of installation options, comes with everything you need to hang a 3 or 4-sided shade, and even includes a drill bit (not shown). But... it just doesn't feel sturdy enough. My shade is a 12x12x12 and I don't intend to take it down every time we get a little bit of a storm. I don't have the confidence these pieces can hold up to a decent wind gust against a solid shade cloth. I intend to use the kit for a lighter shade cloth in my garden as the risk is lower and that cloth allows more airflow through it.In the photo, a drill bit is included but not shown and marker is for perspective and not included.

Built a shade area over my garden and this helped keep the shade tight! Really easy to install and sturdy enough for the wind we get in the south! Next I'll probably do one over the pool!

Functional mounting plates, turn buckles, and attachments for light weight sail shades. Fine for what they are, lightweight, and inexpensive.

Everything you need to set up your sail sunshade! Very helpful and well thought out kit. It would be nice if the kit was included with the purchase of the sunshade if not just for convenience but hey, you can’t have it all. A word of advice and I’m speaking from personal experience…don’t try to hang up your shade without this. The proper tools will do a much better job of securing and prolonging the life of your sail shade.

These are just not as beefy as the hardware that came with my sail shade. I wanted some more hardware to hold up some lights. These can probably do it but I wouldn’t use this hardware for a large sail shade. See the pictures.
