First year trying this brand. Worked well enough, but after 7 months in the sun, the cover is starting to disintegrate. Will have to get a new one this spring.

Works really well the heat the pool and keep evoraporation down but it does fall apart every 6 months or so which is frustrating. But it does work really well just does not last long, however at the price it is saving me more than 300 a year in the summer here in Texas so I can fork it out.

We buy them every few years. This is a great pool warmer to extend the pool time in the early spring or into the fall months. As long as the sun is high and warming to the skin, you can count on the pool temperature to warm up a couple of degrees a day. The cover also helps insulate the warm water, keeping it warm with less evaporation.

BUYER BEWARE. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT AS DESCRIBED. THIN and POOR QUALITY. DO NOT BUY.When I first posted, I commented the quality of the product was lacking. The prior cover was purchased 6 years ago. Same specifications. The prior cover was super heavy and well made.This cover is super light, arrived in a bag and could be carried with one hand.This cover held up, you can see through it. See photo.The old cover held up is not see through and just dark blue.The seller emailed a reply asking for me to send photos. I took photos of the new cover and old cover, emailed them back July 3, 2023.To date, July 28, 2023 I have YET TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE.Fortunately buying on Amazon and delivery through Amazon clearly documents dates.I cannot imagine this THIN, See through, light weight, cover will survive a three year documented warranty. I will take more photos at the end of summer showing the process I go through washing it with fresh water and storing it, dry, rolled up and in the garage.Obviously the attempt at customer service to offer a reply is a meaningless excercise by a company that is as false as their product.*DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THIS PRODUCT IS POOR QUALITY AND OVER PRICED FOR WHAT IT IS.*PAY more and buy something else. NO MORE from Amazon. I learned my lesson. I will go to a local pool supply to see and know what I am buying even though it costs me more. Very disappointed.

I have purchase a 20'X40' solar blanket from NYRS in March 2020 and started using it from May to Sept 2020 and for a similar period in 2021. The solar blanket was winterized inside my garage at all time during the winter periods. I started seeing degradation in the product when installed this past May 2022 (see pictures) the blanket was basically "disintegrating" and "falling apart" in numerous places. I contacted the seller NYRS (which is not the manufacturer) and explained the situation, after a few very cordial back and forth between ourselves and providing them with supporting information, they have resolved this issue to my entire satisfaction and definitely stood behind the products they sell. I would not hesitate to buy again from NYRS.Unfortunately I can't say the same from the manufacturer Sun2Solar. I have owned numerous pools (3) and solar blankets over my lifetime (40 years) and I have never experienced such a quick deterioration problem on any previous blankets I have owned over such a short period of time, in all, I have used the Sun2Solar blanket less than 11 months from May 2020 to date (5 months 2020 / 5 months 2021 and 1 month 2022) . I certainly hope this is an isolated incident from the manufacturer Sun2Solar. Patrick. L

I took it out of the box today and put it on the pool. It probably won't last a month! It is very thin and flimsy. Worst solar cover I have ever purchased. I would never get it back in the box to return! DON'T GET THIS COVER!Second day and it won't even stay in place! Again, DON'T BUY!!!!!Every day I look at this cover, I get more irritated! A pure waste of hard-earned money!!!!! I'm irritated is the nicest thing I can say.

The cover seems to be well made. It is a lighter weight than some I've had in the past, so it is easier to handle, but it may be less durable. But my experience is that these covers are best replaced every year or two anyway, so easier handling may be the preferred trade off.

Works wonderfully! We love our pool on the warm side for evening swims. We choose this cover year after year because it is always the right price, right size, right color, right bubble shape, and Amazon’s speedy delivery. The material thickness is on the thin side, but it gets the job done! Do we expect it to last more than 1 season/year? No, but it will be a bonus if it does. We have found this cover to be the best buy to meet our swim season needs and we continue to plan to order this cover year after year and you should too!Note: we’ve purchased and used many solar pool covers over the past 23 years. We’ve purchased the thickest, most expensive cover out there; the cover with the best warranty: and those in many different colors and bubble shapes. Bottom line is: The direct sunlight combined with chlorine and manipulation on-and-off the pool affects every type of pool cover. We have managed to extend many of those covers to 2 swim seasons and no more, and this cost-effective version holds up just as well as all the others!

The day after installing we had a storm and some wind. A descent wind of 25-35mph, but I have never had a strap tear out of a blanket - until now - and I have owned many of them over the last 20 years. At least 2-3 times a season, I have had a wind high enough to pull the solar reel into the pool - but it has ripped the blanket. This time, the reel stayed put - and the blanket tore. EXTREMELY thin material. I am not sure where it measures 8 mil, but I have never had one this thin before. I think I have purchased bubble wrap that was thicker than this blanket. Had I realized it sooner, I would have returned it. Blanket will not even stay put in a light 5-10mph wind.
