When it comes to working on cars with tight clearances this is a gift from the mechanic gods. You will be surprised and delighted at how handy this simple idea is applied in some tight awkward nut placement in your vehicle.

Good quality really inexpensive comparable to those top-of-the-line Mac tools for a fraction of the price. I’m glad I bought this. It’s a game changer. Get the job done specially on some awkward tight spaces.

... this will work to remove the forward carb nut off of the intake manifold but you will have to pay a visit to the grinder. Just take off a few millimeters off the outer edge of the 13mm side. A minor inconvenience to save $7 plus shipping for the real VW tool.

I cut off the second bend for the 13mm portion to create a 12mm reach around wrench for the back nuts on vintage carburetors close to the firewall. Worked great - similar to an obsolete factory wrench that I saw in a factory manual. Not the most common use as manufactured but necessity was indeed the mother of invention.
