Sunlite high intensity discharge lamps are perfect for outdoor lighting and commercial interiors. These energy efficient HID lamps offer exceptional efficacy, great color rendition, have a long service life and excellent lumen maintenance. These 175 watt metal halide bulbs have a bright 14000 lumen output. They are medium base (E26), ED17 bulbs with an average life span of 10, 000 hours. Use in street lights, parking lot fixtures, perimeter lighting, and other commercial and industrial lighting applications. ANSI Code M57. Confirm ANSI Code to help determine the correct bulb for your fixture and the ballast it uses. Bulb measurements are 2. 2 inches in diameter, 5. 4 inches tall.

These energy efficient HID lamps offer great color rendition, have a long service life and excellent lumen maintenance. This Sunlite 175-watt HID metal halide medium base ED17 bulb offers 14000 lumens of light output and has an average rated life of 10000 hours. If the bulb is powered from a constant voltage source such as directly from the AC wiring, the current will increase until the bulb destroys itself; therefore, halide bulbs require electrical ballasts to limit the arc's current.

NOT happy with this purchase. I tested the bulb when I received it to see if it would ignite which it did but once it warms up to temp it turns off. I'd like to swap this out for a functioning bulb. I have other older bulbs which function properly so I know my ballast is working fine.

What can you say it's a light bulb, you screw it in the fixture, turn it on and it's a bright light, it's been working for months now with out an issue, it should last a few more years and then we'll have to order more.

I bought 2 replacement bulbs for a work lamp that I keep in the barn to provide extra light when its dark out. One bulb I bought works just fine.The other worked for approximately 1 hour, spread out over 2 days and then didn't come on again. I did the normal trouble shooting stuff, made sure it was tight in the socket, exchanged it with another light, and determined it was defective. I'd expect for a light bulb that costs this much money to last longer than an hour. I phoned Amazon and they immediately sent me a replacement bulb. I'm very happy with the great customer service. Its just the twist of fate that I got a bulb that was defective. The other bulb and the replacement are getting the job done!

We'll see how long the "no name" brand lasts! The GE lasted 5 years @ 4 hours a day! !/4 the price of Lowes!

This light is of a yellow glow. I didn't know there where options, but a white glow would have been what I wanted. But, it works.

This the worst bulb ever. Do not fall for the low price. I bought 3 of them and none of them lasted for more then 100 hrs. This bulbs make me look like a fool. The Phillips which I bought lasted me for infinite time. I used it for my parking lot light and I have been buying metal halide since past 10 years so don't let the company fool you by saying I must have put it in the wrong fixture. I know what I am doing. Avoid..Avoid

I ordered this the first time and it did not work properly so then the seller sent another one out and i sent mine back and then this one worked perfectly for me!! Thumbs up!! :)
