This is a clean, unobtrusive box. I don't want it to be the center of attention in the backyard. It is sturdily built, and was very easy to install. One of the features I really needed was the multi-tap. If you don't know, as your wire runs get longer, the voltage drops. So the multi-tap feature gives you terminals with both 13 and 14 volts - by the time you get out to your lights, the voltage has dropped to the proper 12 volts, and that improves both the quality of your lights, but also their longevity. LED's don't like under-voltage. The connections are well thought out - easy to get wire into, and easy to tighten down securely.

I needed another transformer for our outdoor landscape lighting. Have you seen the prices of transformers lately???? This one puts out 100W at a fraction of the price for ones at the big hardware stores. I think it was a no-brainer. Installation was pretty easy, even for a non-electrician, and it has reliably provided power to our landscape lights. Super happy with this transformer!

Hubby wanted this for pool to house the electrical for our Baja step pool light. He said it’s made well and has plenty of room for everything. He also stated it was easy to install. Great price.

Decided to upgrade our existing pool light system from a 120V to a low voltage 12V AC system, mostly for safety reasons. To do this we needed to add a 12V low voltage AC LED light and a 12V AC transformer. We used this one for our conversion, which was surprisingly simple as we were able to reuse the existing wiring for this swap. This was a huge consideration for us as the original wiring is 20+ feet from the pool and all under a concrete deck, so would have been a huge deal to remove the old to install the new.As we already had 120V coming to the existing light switch it was as easy as removing the power from the switch and wiring the power directly to this transformer. Then we had the existing line from the switch to the pool light so equally as simple as moving those wires to the com and 12V terminals. It's nice than there are so many knockouts as we used the left side for power in and the right for 12V AC out. Mounting the unit on the wall is super simple too. We'll need to reinstall a smart switch to switch it on and off remotely but for now were using the remote that came with the bulb we have installed.Overall this is a really nice basic transformer for 12/13/14 voltage AC for pool, landscape or other lighting needs. Again it basic, so always on, no switches on the unit itself so you'll need to install an inline switch or smart controller to control it, but for the price it can't be beat. If you need a switch or other features light light sensors, timers or switches look elsewhere, but if you're just looking for a basic low voltage AC transformer then this is a really good one that is well built and easy to install.

It is very heavy at almost ten pounds. The transformer can handle different voltage outputs, which is handy for long cable runs where voltage drop is a problem. Plus, it has a circuit breaker for added safety. This appears to be intended for permanent installation; however, adding a power cord and a cable clamp connector, which are not supplied, was easy.I added lights to our water feature and additional landscape lights with this transformer. Installing it was simple, and the heavy steel plate and circuit breaker are reassuring since I mounted this to the side of my house. It runs quietly and seems to be a good choice for low voltage lighting of all types. A photo diode for dusk-to-dawn operation could easily be added to this via one of the ten knock-outs that provide plenty of access or mounting points. I personally prefer a timer and thought mounting it inside the case would be difficult, so I opted for an outside solution.⭐⭐⭐ Rating: Very heavy-built, quiet transformer, and an internal circuit breaker. IMO -This is a very basic commercial grade transformer it has no on-off switch or other features. This SUNVIE 100W pool light transformer is very well constructed and heavier than the older one it replaces. So far, it has performed well and is reasonably priced.
