As a photographer and videographer working in a small studio space, I’m always looking for creative ways to mount my equipment without drilling holes in the walls (landlord wouldn’t be thrilled). Enter the Fifield Super Clamp with Magic Arm, a versatile little gadget that lets me attach my 60W COB video light to overhead rigging, giving me the perfect angle for my shoots.Pros:✅ Secure grip: The clamp latches onto my light stand or rigging like a tiny metal octopus and holds steady. The anti-slip rubber pads keep things scratch-free, which is a nice touch.✅ Flexible positioning: The 360° dual ball heads allow me to adjust the angle effortlessly—great for overhead lighting or creative side shots.✅ Quick setup: The clamp and arm combo make repositioning a breeze, which is crucial when switching setups mid-shoot.Why It Lost a Star:⚠️ Not for heavy-duty gear. While it holds my small COB light (around 2 lbs) without issue, I wouldn’t trust it with anything much heavier. It’s rated for 4.4 lbs, but personally, I’d stay well under that limit—better safe than sorry!Overall, if you're looking for an affordable, light-duty mounting solution, this is a great choice. Just don’t expect it to hold a cinema rig or a full-sized studio light without some serious anxiety!Would I buy another one? Absolutely—as long as I keep it within its comfort zone.⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)

I am a sucker for great clamps. This lets me mount either my microphone or my camera or my phone to a pole or to a flat surface like a desk or shelf. So that’s very useful in many situations. Very solid grip. When you tighten them down they’re immobile and not going anywhere. Then the other end is just a typical screw-on adapter such as on my DSLR camera or other types of attachments like a phone clip.

The most useful aspect of this is that it can function as a clamp AND as pole/bar grip. It’s made out of very high quality materials. The metal is solid. The rubber grip is the real deal. The ball head is small and doesn’t rotate easily. But it’s still a great unique piece of gear.

This mount doesn’t have a single piece of plastic on it.Apart from the rubber grips, everything is anodized aluminum and stainless steal - even the 1/4-20 mounting pad and hinge pins. The spherical joints have grooves machined into them which really helps keep things rigid and sturdy. With the flat feet twisted out of the way, this will clamp onto anything up to 2.0625” (52.4mm) thick. With the flat feet parallel to each other, it can clamp onto anything up to 1.5725” (40mm) thick.Highly recommend!

Great little versatile kit for mounting small things. Tried with a phone and a small rgb key light and it worked well for either use. I like having things like this around just in case I find a use for them and need to mount something somewhere.
