Bought these for my kids to use when they play ninja. These do not hurt when they hit one another with it. 2 of the sword handles were unravelled upon receipt.

I was nervous reading (way too many) reviews of foam swords, so I wanted to write to say that these worked great for our ninja party with five year olds. I paired it with headbands and play at an indoor inflatables place and it worked out exactly as I hoped. One girls hand elastic snapped (out of 16 kids), but they were all doing heavy play and all remained structurally intact for the party and seemed in good shape to take home afterwards. They fit perfectly in their hands and none of the parents coming pained about the sword fighting going on. Win!
