I purchased this item to keep thieves from taking expensive tools and belts for my 2023 Turbo R. Now that I finally have it installed it looks great and locks. I will post an update after I take it out on the trails. The reason I say you need to be mechanically inclined is for fitting this on your razor and getting the locking mechanism to actually work. It is a very tight fit in the bed of the razor, which is great but I don’t know if it was made or damaged by shipping because metal bending had to be done to close the lid. Three of the brackets were bent and the lid was bent in ward. Slowly with help of rag and channel locks I was able to bend the metal without damaging the powder coat too much, a few scratches. Now that I got the lid to close, the next problem arises with the locking mechanism. I wish it was a little more heavy duty as far as the screw for latching and locking the lid down. I can foresee it breaking but I will post if it does on a ride. The screw does not hold the lid down in place. I had to get a little creative and used a thick rubber gasket, zipp tied it to the latch and now the screw on the locking mechanism stays in place and keeps the lid down. I might have to drill a hole in the latch and place a set screw instead of the rubber gasket. I am hesitant of trying this as it would weaken the metal for the latch. For now I have it working and hope it does stay working. I am dreading the days I will need to remove the lid for any services requiring the bed to be removed 😒 I wish they made a trunk lid that just attach to the removable piece of the bed. I know Tusk trunks do that but I did not care for the look, my fault on that part. Anyway that’s why I gave it only 3 stars. I didn’t notify the seller because sending it back would have been another nightmare with packaging it all back up and shipping it back. The price should be lower for this product for all the hassle I went through to make it fit and work properly.
