This dampener kit is incredible. The box and accessories are premium, and overall, this kit is a great deal. It's exactly what I needed for this repair project, and everything is as advertised. I'd recommend to anyone that needs a high quality set of dampener units.

I installed this at the same time as the shudder fix kit, along with the trans cooler bypass kit. I also did a fluid and filter change, and the combination of all these repairs has made my transmission shift good as new.

Don't be surprised by the small package, it has good things inside.The Cups and Pistons are the size of pencil erasers and the springs are as small as a toothpick.The kit includes a really nice, illustrated, set of instructions and there are videos available online that will show these areas of the valve body.While I don't think this kit as important as the one to prevent torque converter shudder or the cooler bypass I would strongly recommend it if you are upgrading a new or used transmission. It will help extend the service life of the valve body to get many more miles.*Note, this kit is not intended to fix a bad transmission. You will want to make sure you have a good valve body to start with because the 8L90 can warp and break them. If you KNOW the transmission is good then you will be all set to make it even better.
