Used this on a Supermicro CSE-826 chassis onto a Gigabyte Z97MX-G5 and it works great. Granted, the board I'm using doesn't include all the included connectors, but the ones that are required work fine (Power, Reset, PLED)This is a must-have if you plan on using a supermicro case on a standard motherboard.

Ho acquistato un case Supermicro e una motherboard Gigabyte: leggendo le recensioni ho letto che sarebbe stato necessario anche questo adattatore ed in effetti è così. Il pannellino frontale del case è fornito di connettore "a nastro" (compatibile evidentemente con le motherboard Supermicro), mentre la mia Gigabyte invece espone semplicemente otto PIN nudi. L'adattatore prevede otto connessioni: POWER LED, POWER SW, RESET SW, HDD LED, OH LED, POWER FAIL e due NIC SW. Solo le prime quattro sono presenti sulla mia motherboard, le altre restano purtroppo inutilizzate (sarebbero utili su un server). Ho dovuto inoltre scambiare la terminazione in plastica del POWER LED (a tre posti) con una di quelle inutilizzate (a due posti) in quanto sulla mia motherboard i due PIN del Power LED sono adiacenti e non hanno uno spazio vuoto in mezzo.

This was enough length to extend the existing SM front cable to an ASUS mITX desktop motherboard I put in the 1u chassis. Having the pigtail connections was perfect, except I had to reverse polarity on one of the connectors to get it to work... and then had to just remove the plastic piece all together when the barb that keeps the pin in place got bent and couldn't get continuity otherwise.

It functions as advertised. I'm using it to run an Asus mobo in a SuperMicro 747 rack mount case and it fits the bill.As a note, the description does not indicate if it comes with a 16 pin F/F connector - it does. This allows you to just come off of the end of the existing front panel cable.
