Obviously from the title, this is NOT a direct replacement for my older JenAire stove/oven. This was supposed to replace the broiler which burned out after 20 years. First off, it had to be modified a bit to fit correctly. Then after installing, it didn't work at all. So now $30 poorer and I still don't have a broiler.

So I couldn't find the correct element for my mother's oven but this one looked close enough. Seeing how pretty much all of them connect the same way I figured why not it's worked in the past for other ovens. I did have to drill a couple holes in the mounting plate to make it match up which works just fine. Anyway she's been using it for a while and it's working great. I did the same thing for an oven I had many years ago and it worked for many years. Actually it probably still works but I gave it away so I have no idea. Even if it only lasts for 5yrs it's money well spent.

This was a good replacement part. It seems a little wobbly going in, but worked great once it was installed. I would buy it again.
