The clip works really well. But when the camera is on it the hat puls down pretty hard. Have to adjust accordingly.

The clip fits beautifully on the bill of the ball cap. I am going through a learning curve for videoing the dog and me being tall. I am also learning to tighten my cap so that it doesn’t slip down in front of my eyes.

I use this to mount this to my fire helmet. Takes a lot of abuse. I have to replace it every couple of months, but that is after exposure to high heat and a lot of use.

My bicycle helmet has a kayaking visor added to it thats real sturdy. So, GOPRO 9 IS a bit heavy probably for a regular baseball cap, but thats not what I'm doing with the clip. Since my helmet is held on with chin strap, I have no problems and the device is very tough and sturdy. About to go on my first GOPRO bike recording and happy with the product.
