Product is I think supposed to be a replacement for boards like SUPs that already have a handle, but I did a bit of experimenting to add a handle that will help me carry a 7' Costco board. Final effort that seems to have worked: Separately ordered M5 x 25mm neoprene well nuts. Flange is 10mm, slipped the screws after some effort into the four holes on the grip, which are sort of like belt holes. I included a washer on each, not sure they were necessary. Had to work them a little to make the holes bigger so the screws would slip through. Lined up and shallow drilled four slightly smaller 5/16th holes into the surfboard. Screwed and hand-tightened the well nuts on the screws. Filled the four holes with Gorilla Glue XL glue. Inserted the well nuts / grip setup into the holes and held it all firmly in place for quite a few minutes. Let it dry/cure overnight. Seems to be very sturdy, though I will be careful not to lift the entire weight of the board with the grip. I did this project to install a grip for carrying the board under my arm, as it's hard for me to reach the edge (rail) with my hand to hold the board under my armpit when walking. Very comfortable and sturdy grip.
