Pros:* multiple sushi-rolling mats* the bamboo sushi rice scooper is REALLY nice - my girlfriend gets excited just seeing or talking about it* the butter knife is so nice it instantly got swept up in our breakfast gear - I don't think it'd be a common tool for sushi making* great inspirational sushi-making gear for a beginner (especially if you have kids, and want to make the high-effort sushi pandas with the sushi-panda-making sub-kit)* the sushi maki roll cutter lets you make really precisely cut rolls that come out more professional-looking than you'd be able to without itCons:* no instructions! - if you know how to make sushi really well, you might get one more star of value out of this kit, but absent that, a lot of it is a bit puzzling* the brush for applying sauce to a roll is nice enough, but probably a rather rare use case for sushi making?* the maki maker rocket is probably useful, if you can figure out - but it seems it's only good for really small single-item rolls, as anything even approaching a futomaki won't fit the diameter* the avocado cutter looks and feels a bit flimsy; my girlfriend decided she's happier doing that work by hand, even though it's a super-efficient one-scrape action to cut even-sized avocado strips

This is a great sushi making kit. We purchased nori, good fish from the fish market, cucumbers, avocado, and made sushi rice. The kids really enjoyed making it and loved the experience. This has all the tools you need to make great at home sushi rolls or sashimi.

This was just a cute little thing that I got myself in an order to try new things and I will say that I think that it’s perfect. It comes with probably everything you might need as a beginner to make some sushi. A few YouTube videos and this kit and you be a pro in no times it’s hard to get started but that’s because of my lack of knowledge not the kit itself. Honestly it’s amazing everything seems to be decent quality too, this would make a great gift.

The amount of tools is insane. It kept 5 kids busy for almost 1.5 hours. While one is slicing avocado, another one is filling the bazooka with rice and stuff, and others are filling triangles. It’s all great. For the avocado slicer, we came up with understanding that avocado has to be soft but not too soft because otherwise it’s coming out mushy. And it took us some time to figure out how to open up that bazooka and it was so worthy, kids were amazed by how it works.
