I'm 70 something. I have a big belly and a small butt. I have struggled with belts pretty much all my life.My pants slip down, it's hard to pull them up and the belt digs into my butt on long drives.I tried the clasp suspenders years ago, and they weren't satisfactory.Recently I tried button suspenders. That's the way to go, but if I buy a new pair of pants, I have to buy and install buttons. Cheap hammer on buttons are cheap. They can be hard to install, and they sometimes fail. Better buttons are more expensive, and I have to factor that cost into the cost of the pants. I avoided these clip suspenders because I thought they might put too much stress on the belt loops.A button failed on a pair of pants on a trip so I couldn't wear them.I bought these so that in a pinch I could put suspenders on pants without buttons. They work. They have a good balance of stretch and support.I will not buy more Y suspenders because I think X back suspenders spread the load on more belt loops. I prefer button suspenders, but I need at least one pair of these. I will order more of this type.

It uses clips to hold onto the belt loops instead of snaps, and the clips all have ball bears so if the suspenders get twisted you just untwist them with out having to remove them, great product. The clips don't come lose like the snaps.

Great design. Seems well constructed.The clip is round which is better than the long oval style which wear away at pant belt loops.Size: I'm 5'10" and they just fit me. Not good for anyone SHORTER.If you are taller they will fit well.

This suspenders look great and has a very nice quality. I loved the golden metal parts. Just be advised that you cannot wear these suspenders if your pants does not have a central belt loop located in you back. Only after buying it I realized only one of my pants has the center loop.. this is not a suspenders fault, but make sure you check your pants before getting this one.
