This is a really cute little stapler. It fits well in tight places. The paint is reminiscent of staplers from my childhood. It has a nice texture that allows for gripping the stapler. This is a metal stapler. It is not all plasticlike so many are. But it is a Swingline and they make really good staplers. It uses a half rack of staples so if you do a lot of stapling it may need to be refilled more often. The smaller size allows it to fit in the hand easier if you like to hold it while stapling. I do wish it was a flat back stapler, but it works really well for stapling paper. I tested it up to 20 pages and it sent the stapler cleanly through all the pages,, but needed a bit more force than fewer pages. This stapler also opens up so you can use it to staple items that won't fit into opening.Overall, I really like this stapler. It is a high quality stapler that I expect to last a long time. And it's purple. How can you go wrong with the color!

Swingline Staplers to me, are the Rolls Royce of staplers, classic, last forever, and represent quality. I have had one Swingline for over 25 years, and I am a teacher, so when I say that these last, they last. My tried and true Swingline has been my trusty friend during report card season, ever reliable for sending out daily fliers and monthly newsletters, parent notes, bulletin boards and my old girl workhorse still keeps working like the day I first bought it. I have tried other stapler brands over the years, but nothing performs quite as well as my trusty Swingline Stapler. The arm still swings freely, makes perfect staples every time, and are easy to remove from bulletin boards, just as it did out of the package 25 years ago, and compared to others I have tried.Swinglines rarely jam, which is why I swear by these. I saw this one, and was of course drawn to it because of my experience with this brand, but also my tried and true Swingline probably weighs about the actual weight of a Rolls Royce, it is so solid. This one is perfect for those times you want the performance and quality of a Swingline without the added weight. It also has a nice easy-grip painted texture, which is helpful when you are stapling a lot (and yes, helps so you don’t drop it compared to smoother textured staplers) and weighs much less than my trusty one, which is nice especially when putting together new bulletin boards (because usually my old girl is pretty heavy after awhile, as much as I love her).You can easily staple up to 20 sheets at a time. (My old girl staples 25 or even more, but it is rare that I ever need to staple that many pages, so this one works for today’s “minimalistic paper” world. ) This one actually has a low stapler indicator…now that is something that my old stapler did not have, and the feature I now love, and knew I never needed.This one is perfect for your typical teacher or office applications, so very happy with this Swingline. This compact stapler performs as powerfully as the my trusty tried and true Swingline, but is so much lighter. I am confident it will last just as long because it seems to be constructed with the same high quality material my vintage stapler is made from. Love it, and you will too!
