Just received my Shun knives back from being Sharpened by Kai. Wife bought a good size piece of parmesan cheese. I started researching best why to cut block cheese. This led me to Amazon and their selection of cheese knives. Made my selection off reviews by others who purchased the one picked.Not disappointed.... works very well and blade cleans easily. Very pleased.

We previously had an Ikea cheese slicer, and it worked great for at least 10 years. But it finally broke at the welds. We were looking for a one piece cheese slicer and found this one. However, it would constantly crumble the cheese instead of slicing it. We are by no means cheese connoisseurs, we're just slicing the blocks of cheese from costco. It's also slighty narrower than the height of the cheese, but it's still usable. We'll be on the lookout for a replacement.

UPDATE March 2023-I contacted the seller about what happened. They asked for pictures which I had and they sent me a new knife. It still feels lighter than I expected and hopefully it's sturdier than the first knife. Their service was excellent. Crossing my fingers on the new knife. I won't give 5 stars until I know its durableWhen I got this cheese knife I was already disappointed because it felt light and cheap. Sure enough, cutting through a block of cheese, this knife broke in two. It’s past the return date so I’m stuck with garbage

I was able to cut the cheese (pun intended) with ease. It really worked great cutting up a big block of aged parmesan cheese I bought.

We have had ours for over 10 yrs, and it is still our favorite one. We have never had any issues with rusting or anything else. We love that it is strong and fully stainless. No plastic handles to break, discolor or hold bacteria, no spot welds to worry about breaking. Planes cheese well as advertised.

Perfect to thinly slice cheeses like Gouda & Cheddar. Haven’t tried for any others but I’m sure it works amazing. Great quality and nice and heavy!

Solid, cuts easily through a variety of cheeses, and not a bad price either. Now if I use another knife on soft cheese I feel like I'm mushing it--the design of the holes in the blade really help it slide through the cheese without sticking. Highly recommended.

This is an EXCELLENT spreader! So much so in fact I will be purchasing more for myself, my Chefs and friends/family as well. Nice and not too heavy but it means business! Feels great in the hand, not too big and not too small. I LOVE it!

Amazon does not always give a good description of a product (in fact sometimes no description at all). This product is probably good for certain types of cheese but it does not work for the type I have (very soft brick type). That is my fault - not the fault of Amazon.

I am extremely pleased with this cheese set. They are excellent cutters and look nice on the cheese board. I have experienced handles that do not last but this set is well made and there is no possibility that the knife will bend out of shape. Another bonus is that they are dishwasher safe! Very good purchase and early delivery.
