All switching relays are UL listed, use standard "ice cube" replaceable relays and are compatible with conventional and programmable thermostats. It turned out the one I installed earlier was not malfunctioning ... the installer was!!! So... now either I have a spare or I'll have one for sale!!

This was an exact replacement with a 1 for 1 and a modernized versionof the original giving me the ability to replace the transformer should it fail in the future. Total replacement time done in a little over an hr for 4 zones and an indirect storage tank zone...

One day they work fine the next no more work fine. And it's impossible to get warrenty, no one to help with that. If you can use another brand, do that. I'm discusted(sp) with this whole outfit.

C. Eckler is correct in her review. I had to replace our Taco SR-504 EXP unit because it burned out at the 120vac input terminals. The replacement for the EXP unit ( the one in the shown photo) is part number SR506-4. The SR506-4 is different in appearance and is completely solid state and the relays are not replaceable. The unit is similar in size and all the internal connections are the same.Our original unit was only 5 years old and was defective from the start as we experienced trouble with it during the time we used it. We had a repair made to it at the 120VAC input terminals. We cannot state if the replacement unit is of better quality because it was just installed 10/18/15.A photo of the failed unit in attached. We were in a bind and paid 318.00 for the replacement SR506-4 unit from a local heating/plumbing supply store.

Product works as described ,only complaint is that this model is not same one in as in picture and description . It does not have removable relays. They are soldered to circuit board and if they fail they can't be replaced.
