Reveal X 2.0 Hybrid Mode
How does it work?
Hybrid mode is a cross between the daily and instant settings check
When you receive a picture on your app, that camera will stay connected to the server for 5 minutes.
After the 5 minutes, the camera will stop pinging the cell tower constantly until either activity restarts the 5 minutes OR the normal check-in time occurs.

These are perfect. You can use a normal SD card is you would like or you can pay for the cell plan. I went with the cellular option and it worked flawlessly. I have had them out all winter long and have had zero issues with them.

Easy to set up. Great options for the data plans. I code the best plan bc we have so many deer unlimited worked best for me. Great pics. I have loaded any videos yet. I keep forgetting to take the laptop with me. Highly recommend.

Showed up brand new and both work perfectly. I have 3 of these cams now and probably won't buy another brand.

I've been very impressed with my initial use of this camera. I've had to play with the sensitivity adjustments and other settings to get it the way I want it (not a complaint) from a remote location. This camera is connecting with a very strong signal to the wireless carrier (Verizon) in my area where I only get 2-3 bars on my phone. The camera does not come with batteries or a required memory card so keep this in mind when purchasing. 12 AA batteries and 32GB SD card are needed.

I have two of the cameras and these are two new ones. I had an issue with the activation. I was not looking forward to dealing with tech support. I have 3 other brands and their tech support are all in China. It is most difficult to try and communicate with them. When I called Tactacam support, I got to tech support within 2 minutes and spoke with a local American. Absolutely no communication problems. This alone is worth the price.

We use these at our hunt club and they are best game cameras. I placed one up on a tree on my back yard because I had to fill my bird feeders so much I wanted to see what was eating all the sunflower seeds. Found out at night Racoons and flying squirrels were on them. All can use as security cameras they notify you as soon as movement happens.

My first foray into cell cams. I cannot be happier with them. I don't need HD pics or videos so I don't pay extra for them. I use these to monitor a wet area on mu hunting land for beaver activity. If beavers move in, it takes only a day or two for them to wreak havoc (which happened to me last year). Instead of having to drive to my hunting property every day to check, now I just view pictures to see if beavers are damming a couple spots where they always do if they are here. I got great pictures of otters, fishers, bobcats, various aquatic birds, deer and even a bear. But no beavers, thankfully. Now I've deployed them on deer trails as I would standard cams. I put them way back near my farthest stands. Very convenient.

UPDATED:I got these for my husband. At first, one of the cameras seemed to work, it would send pictures to the phone. Signal was five bars on the cellular service for both cameras... but the other camera never sent the first picture. Tactacam wanted my credit card number to accept the return--this in spite of the fact that we'd had the cameras less than two weeks. We relented and gave them the credit card number. Fortunately, they did not bill our card, and replaced the camera. We'll try this replacement and see how it does.
