OK, this is a ~$10 part and factory originals are about 10x more, depending on your dealer. I have a 07 RR and replacements are about 1/2 inch longer than the oem length bolt-to-bolt, which get the tailgate closer to the bumper, but only an issue if you have a huge/thick license plate frame. I still have a 1/2-5/8" clearance. I had bought a pair because I figured may was well replace the both 17 year old parts while I'm in mood. Worked fine and I would pull the bolts out and lube the collars with some synthetic grease so it's easier for the fittings to swivel when closing and opening.
