I ordered this to create an exhaust adapter to connect a 1" hose to my generator. I cut it in half with my angle grinder cutoff wheel, and can now drill holes for the exhaust mount bolts, and then attach the 1" metal hose with a hose clamp to run through my garage wall.

I got these for a craft project I'm working on, so am not using them as intended. The main thing I noticed is that the flanges have nicks in the edges and on the flat surfaces, which could cause leaks if used as intended. Other than that, these seem to be exactly as described and pictured.

I was using two adapters to make up one transition and this was needed to simplify the configuration. This is very well made, comes with silicone gaskets. I use PTFE for my setup, but the silicone ones look to be good quality. Overall, very satisfied.

I'll agree with a couple of other comments. The surface of these aren't quite as smooth as some others like the standard brands used in food and beverage production. They work like the others, but I'll have to keep an eye on them since those imperfections could be places for bacteria to hide.

I got this reducer to fit an RV sink that had a strange sized fitting that no universal drain kit would fit. This worked well for that application.As another reviewer noted, there are slight nicks and imperfections in the mating surfaces that could possibly damage silicone seal and cause problems if you're using this in a high pressure application.But for me and my low pressure drainage application it worked just fine.

This is sturdy and well made. Unfortunately the machined surfaces that should be smooth for a proper fit are marred with nicks. This may not be a problem because tri-clamp fittings use silicone gaskets rather than perfect metal on metal seals, but it's still not a good idea to have nicks on the face of these seals as it may cause various issues, including damage to the silicone seals if they cause cuts or tears.
