This beater is solid. Great rebound from the kick head and far lighter than any other one. This helps with consistency and speed without fatigue in the legs. You do lose a small (VERY SMALL) bit of attack considering how light it is, but it’s not noticeable in recording sessions, or anything. Mainly just in feeling. Overall, solid buy!

My originals on my iron cobra double pedal lasted me about 10 years, so I naturally wanted this for replacement. Good responsive feel and great attack sound.

Did not last at all, felt dust all over the bottom of the bass drum and pedal after just 4 months and really not very much use as one would think. Disappointed as this is twice the cost of alternatives out there and carries the 'Tama' name.

I don't know anything about the supposed material change to the felt to increase longevity, but I can say that the beater has worn down significantly in the couple months that I've had it. I play 5 or so days a week for a couple hours at a time.I like the feel of the beater, but it's not the greatest value proposition, especially at the $25 price point.

What can I say? These are no-nonsense beaters that Iron Cobra users have loved for decades. They’re also not too lightweight— rebound is great and throw is nice and meaty, depending on your cam geometry and heel up/down preference.
