Doesn't lock down tight, loosens to the point of popping off the stand when cymbal is played very little.

The Tama QC8 work Ok. But they advertise them with a bright red push buttons. They are not. They are a drab maroon color.

These are so awesome. Used them on a 5 week European tour and they last beautifully, despite being thrown about as much as they were. Not one failure and I've come back with all 5 that I bought.

Brilliant time savers and worked perfectly on my main stands - but just check your cymbal stand thread is the right size. I have an additional small kit with some cheap stands and they wouldn't grip on those as the thread was smaller. The amount of times I have dropped a wingnut and ended scrabbling around the floor in the dark!

I love these. There isn't anything bad to say about these really. If you like to crank down on your cymbals to the point where you risk damaging the cymbal, I guess you should stick with wing nuts. But for everyone else, these work perfectly. The best part, they cut down set-up and tear-down time tremendously. I play a lot of gigs, teach, and have quite a few of these on my main kit. The more cymbals you have, the more benefit you'll get from switching to this product.

We occasionally have to set up and tear down quickly - these Cymbal Mates really save a ton of time if you have several cymbals to set up, and they hold securely. Time will tell on the durability aspect, but so far, so good!
