Your cart is empty.When playing double bass, the hi-hat cymbals can be closed by hitting the lever on the drop clutch. While in the dropped position, TAMA's Sizzle Touch Drop Clutch allows you to adjust the gap between the top and bottom cymbals, allowing for fine adjustments to achieve the desired open sound. To resume normal hi-hat function, push down on the footboard of the hi-hat stand to secure the clutch back into place as a standard clutch.

I installed this on a Roland 14" digital hi-hat. It was not designed for that but I asked Roland customer service and they provided instructions. I had to bevel the felt (I used the foam one that came with the stand) on the underside. It works very well and let's me play double pedal.

Never thought a simple drop clutch could make much of a difference but this one sure does!I play a single bass so I wondered if it could really help my plying and it definitely does. It combines a drop clutch with a precision sizzle adjustment which is killer. You basically can dial in the exact sizzle sound every time. No more foot pressure adjustments mid song or monkeying with the tension and height adjustments.Excellent and innovative product that really makes your playing better and more consistent.

Jouant avec une double pédales Tama, j’étais assez embêté avec mon charleston ( ouvrir, fermer) suivant les morceaux ! Problème résolu, c’est tout simplement génial ! J’ai une pédale hi-han Tama donc s’adapte sans problème dessus mais doit bien fonctionner avec d’autres marques. Facile à installer et à utiliser, super réactif. Bref je recommande à 100/100 les yeux fermés.😁😉

I've used plenty of these toys over the years, but this one gives you more flexibility and versatility in top or drop mode. Pricey, but worth it.

This is a nice solid piece and I really like the adjustments that you can make to get the right amount of sizzle. I've also been looking for a drop-clutch for my Roland VH-10 and was hoping this might work or could be modified to work, but unfortunately no. If you're looking for something that's compatible with V-Drums, look for the AxeTrack JLH Drop Clutch (unfortunately not on Amazon).

This is a solid piece of equipment, and I recommend it. The only thing I was not happy about was there is no way to really crank the pressure to push the cymbals against each other for a tight hi hat sound… hence the 4 stars.

As those of you who have a double bass drum pedals know, when playing double bass, your Hi-Hat is basically out of commission. I suppose if you knew you would not require the up-and-down motion, you could adjust the space between the two cymbals to get the desired sound for riding. However, you would have to unlock the upper cymbal and readjust it to return to normal Hi-Hat function, not possible in the middle of the song. Enter the TAMA sizzle touch drop clutch. Once it is installed, which is easy and the adjustments are made to suit your taste, your days of not having to have three legs to play your bass and use your Hi-Hat are over. There are two adjustments, one that sets the space between the upper and lower cymbal when the Hi-Hat is open and the other, which sets the space between the top and bottom cymbals when in the dropped position. This adjustment allows you to create whatever amount of "sizzle" you want, whether it be fairly close together for a tighter sound or further apart to get more of a "slosh" sound. When you are playing, just hit the black lever shown in the first picture to unlock the clutch and the top cymbal drops to its predetermined closed position. Pushing down on the foot pedal locks the clutch returning the Hi-Hat to normal functioning. There are several competitive products that are less expensive. The TAMA clutch is heavy and clearly built to last, I don't see it breaking when hit with a stick. I like the heavy rubber pad on the drop lever that many competitors don't have. But, most of all for me is the Quick-set clutch lock. (see second picture) Every other Hi-Hat I've seen has a double nut holding the felt that is under the top cymbal. Theoretically, the nuts can be locked together to prevent loosening. However, over time the nuts would eventually come loose. Once when I was playing, the top cymbal fell off of the upper clutch and I had to stop to put it back together. The patented TAMA Quick-set clutch lock goes below the felt supporting the top cymbal. The lock snaps into place so it will not come unscrewed. Big improvement over the double nuts. I'm glad I bought the TAMA touch drop clutch. It definitely adds functional value for those with a double bass drum. My son loves it, too!

Hesitant in paying this much for a clutch, but was very pleasantly satisfied.WHAT IT DOES: allows you to set your normal hi hat gap (like a regular clutch). But then allows you to fully adjust how much gap/sizzle you want when the clutch it engaged. You may adjust it like any other and have your hats tightly closed, OR adjust them to sizzle just the right amount by turning a knob to pull/push the top hat up/down; then, lock it in place with the lock turn knob. I love this thing. Others are garbage after using this clutch.Takes some playing with it to understand how it works. I found it came out of adjustment easily when I didn’t lock it in place with the adjuster lock, but that was the leaning experience.

Cambio sencillo entre control de la apertura y una semiapertura constante para un sonido wash de los platillos. La rosa que sirve de memoria suele caerse ni se aprieta de manera seguida, fuera de eso es un producto excelente
