As others have noted, these tweezers are a well-built tool, finely made and capable of delicate work if needed. They are not made from two pieces of stamped sheet metal welded together at one end, but have been forged or machined into shape. There is some reassuring heft to them, but they taper to a fine point at the working end and to a thinner easily closed narrow blade-like thickness at the closed end. I am pleased with my purchase and wouldn't hesitate to buy them again if I needed to replace them.

In my ~13 years of scale modelling, I had always used needle nose beauty tweezers that were around $30 a pair. They worked great, but were not sturdy enough to withstand near-constant use forcing parts into place, or really clamping down to make sure things wouldn't move, and the tips would bend apart over the course of 6 or so months. These have lasted two years through the same abuse as others and are still able to pick up the smallest of parts right at the tip of the tweezer and don't show any signs of wear. I wish I had gone with these sooner to save myself money and frustration trying to pick up tiny parts!

The Tweezer of the Samurais. Pointy end but actually not as sharp as it looks in the photos, they are slightly rounded at the tip so they are great for decaling too.

I bought this set and the curved set. Use them for building scale models. Short of going to watch maker's tweezers; these are about as good as it gets.

I'm not sure I can adequately explain the quality of these tweezers. I have been using whatever tweezers I found lying around the house for my modeling. The difference between standard Walmart beauty section tweezers and these from Tamiya is night and day. These absolutely blow away any I've ever seen. They are easily twice as thick, yet they taper thinner towards the back so that it takes a very small amount of force to close them. And when they close, they make the most satisfying "click" that just sounds like quality. The tips are perfectly matched, no matter how hard you squeeze. If you are looking for the best tweezers on the planet, look no further than these from Tamiya. Every Tamiya product that I've ever purchased is heads and shoulders above anything else on the market. These tweezers are no exception. Buy these. Do it now. You will not regret it.

excellent quality tweezers, a little bit expensive but you get what you pay for and Tamiya craft tools are always worth the money
