This water heater works well for our basement kitchen—compact, space-saving, and delivers hot water as expected. Our plumber handled the installation and said it was straightforward. It took forever before we finally got it installed, but once up and running, it heats water quickly and efficiently. A good choice for an under-sink setup for hot water on demand. My Star Scale:5 Stars: Must-have—add to cart immediately!4 Stars: Get it—without regret!3 Stars: Add to list—think it over.2 Stars: Has potential—comes with issues.1 Star: Nope—hard pass!

This is a little complicated in how I am using this unit. I am using it in a camper. To do this, I had already rewired my camper to accept a 50 amp service instead of the 30 amp it came with. Yes, that was a process in itself. So if you know about the difference between those two services, you know it is actually two 120 volt 50 amp services together. This means I can split it and have one side powering the camper as before but with a headroom of 20 amps more available. The other side of that service would be used for....things like this.So when we camp and have a 50 amp service available, this is automatically powered up and will supply hot water to the sink. It is not quite powerful enough by itself to supply hot water for the shower. That of course depends on many factors like temperature of water coming in, temperature of water you need, and the flow rate. Typically, we use the shower house to keep from filling our waste tanks and needing to empty them anyway. So the shower is kind of irrelevant here, but I did want to mention that.As for this unit itself, it is very small and can be put almost anywhere. When I say small, think roughly the size of a box of cereal. Yes, you will need to run larger wire than you will likely have available. It also depends on the distance from your breaker, but you will likely need 6 ga wire and a 50 amp breaker. It is not a 220 volt unit, so amperage of 110 is much higher. So far, the unit itself has worked as it should. The remote is a nice touch to control it. It looks very nice but since it is mounted under our sink, you can't see it unless you make the effort to look for it.Also, one of the reasons I chose one made like this was because the water connections are on the bottom of the unit. Being in a camper, you typically winterize it each year and draining the water is the main thing you do. If water connections are on top, it is very difficult to drain. But on the bottom...it just drains with everything else.

The water heater in our home is terribly old and my husband and I are afraid that it will eventually stop working, which would be a huge bummer. So, this is a backup item, which is something that he and I do frequently since we live in the middle of rural America and finding things can be tough at times since the nearest town is an hour away and very limited to what you can find there. I like having this, it should do nice even with hot water and it will only be used if our fifty year old water heater stops working one day.

The product is very nice, very compact and doesn't take up much space at all. I installed it under the kitchen sink and so far it's working great. There is instant hot water available as soon as I turn on the faucet, and my wife and I are very happy with this, which completely solves the problem of not having hot water before.

Having had previous experience installing similar water heaters, it was no big deal as far as installation was concerned and was installed quickly. The hot water heats up quickly, basically turning on the faucet and waiting a few seconds to get hot water, which is fantastic compared to waiting several minutes. If you're looking to buy a small water heater to supplement your main water heater then this is a great option!

Great water heater, compact, you probably can't imagine how small he is, mounted under the sink takes up no space at all, and with it I don't have to worry at all about turning on the faucet and not having hot water. All in all, I highly recommend this product.
