I normally buy strictly collagen based knotted bones for my dog due to safety issues with rawhide. Most vets and experts do not advise giving dogs rawhide bones due to digestive issues and risk of blockages. for some reason this bone is being advertised as collagen-based. After I received it I had concerns and reached out to the company. They confirmed it is rawhide and not collagen based. They suggested their rawhide is safer and perhaps it is, but these are not collagen -based bones.

I like that it is lasting. Purchased for xmas and the dog still hasn't been able to completely dismantle it yet like everything else she gets her mouth on.

It is what is says it is, but it is way overpriced. When I was quickly going through my cart - the picture of 3 bones in the photo wrongly kept it in the cart. It is purposely misleading. If it's only one bone show only one in the photo. Will not be repurchasing.

So, idk, I was expecting something longer. I know it has the product dimensions but I didnt bother to take out a ruler and look, I just figured the jumbo bones were all the same, you know, like 3 feet long, like a tree branch. Well this one wasnt. This one is about the size of a normal bone imo. However, It's actually very thick, and very heavy. My 90 pound pitbull is not afraid of it though, and has no second thoughts about literally throwing it around. This one might actually take longer for him to go through despite not being as long as I was hoping it would be. This might end up being my new normal. Also, and he's only had the bone a short time, so, maybe im wrong. But so far:1) Its not leaving a residue on the carpet (yet?)2) it's not getting as dirty from the carpet hairs (interesting..?)3) Thicker so will take him longer to wear down.It also claims to be made from Bison and not rawhide but i dont notice any difference other than maybe its durability. Dog seems to like it just as fine.I'd say its a safe buy. Its jumbo in thickness not in length, and maybe thats better.

It is a bone that is all one piece of hide I was looking for something where my dog couldn't just "pop off" the ends. I also wanted one that didn't become gummy in a huge chunk that he'd try to swallow. My boxer chose to start this in the middle. We soon found that it is very thin pieces pressed together, so when he succeeds in pulling hide away, whatever he swallows is a small thin piece. My dog loves it -- more than any other he has had. It definitely keeps him occupied. So darned expensive, though. Here's a :good to know" tip. It doesn't leave residue on a rug or carpet like a lot of rawhides do, at least not so far.

We got this for our boxer mix because it was made in the US and was all natural. We had another large rawhide but not sure what its origin was. Our dog loves the Buffalo rawhide and now won't touch the other one. She probably knows something we don't.

I bought the jumbo size, because I thought bigger is better. They weren't kidding about jumbo - it's almost 18 inches long and weighs 1 lb 5 oz. It's.... astonishingly large. My dog will eat anything, and he is an alpha dog type. However this bone freaks him out. When I gave it to him, he took it but had trouble carrying it. Then he started showing signs of anxiety. Eventually he just avoided it. He never chewed it. I put it away and tried giving it to him a few more times, but he wanted nothing to do with it. My dog is 55 lbs and stands 31" tall (ground to head), so he's about a medium-large size. I was surprised by his reaction, and will have to throw this away. Or try to saw it into pieces.

These are very large rawhide bones that my golden retrievers love, the description states how large they are. These are only one of two brands I know that are processed in the U.S., others are processed in foreign countries, notably China, some from Argentina. If they are American made it will say so in the description or on the label. There is a growing trend of Chinese rawhide bones and and other ingredients that get into our dogfood, much of this inferior product has been hurting American pets. The American rawhide bones are usually a little more expensive, but you know its healthy rawhide.. We've also bought the two mediums with the knotted ends and they are big and took the dogs awhile to chew, but they almost ripped the package apart before it was opened.
