I often give these to people who have recently moved into homes and apartments. They are usually amazed at how much their appliance setting calibrations are off.

The Oven Thermometer off by 25-50 degrees (when checked against another thermometer and the ovens builtin sensor at several temperatures). I purchased the set mainly for my freezer and didn't try the oven thermometer until after the refund period so I am out of luck. The freezer thermometer seems accurate, but I have yet to verify it against another thermometer to be sure.

Bought to help determine the best setting for my fridge as too high everything freezes a smidge lower seems not cool enough so this helped me adjust it just right. Put the other in the oven for baking to check the temp against my setting. Both work well for my needs at a great price.

I bought the two-pack, one for fridge and one for oven. Quality stainless construction, large dial markings are easy to read. The freezer/fridge unit matches the reading on my fancy new refrigerator LED screen, so that is good. The oven unit does not match the temp sensor on my fancy new gas oven, and after careful observation it appears the thermometer is accurate and my oven requires calibration. I plan to buy another and use two thermometers side by side to compare their accuracy. Then I'll give the spare to a friend.

If you've read any of my other kitchen-related reviews, you know the kitchen is my husband's domain. One of the things he likes to do in the kitchen is bake bread. Most notably, an attempt at the perfect sourdough rye, which he works on every weekend. There were issues. I thought perhaps the oven was wrong -- he thought that too, but in his mind, it could also be the recipe and its permutations. So - I bought this pair. Turns out the oven WAS off, and had a hot spot and a cold spot (I guess that's how to describe it) -- my husband is now happier with the bread. Everyone else thought the other attempts were fine and dandy, but he's a perfectionist where bread is concerned. As an added bonus, our milk no longer goes bad quickly, since it turns out our fridge was a few degrees too warm. Another kitchen win-win all the way around.

I ordered these after we moved into a new to us winter home. We had to get the refrigerator repaired and the repair man said he recommended getting a thermometer to monitor the temperature. I ordered the combo pack that also included the oven thermometer, since this home has gas for cooking/baking and I'm not use to that.First off these are large in size and also easy to read. I was expecting a smaller gauge like a meat thermometer size but these are quite a bit bigger. You can hang them or just sit them on the shelf. I have my refrigerator one on the shelf and the oven one hanging from the rack. I know the oven was off since my baking and cooking was taking longer, and the thermometer verified that it was 25' off. So I had to calibrate my oven and let it heat up a big longer than the preheat beeps and now the temperature dial matches the inside therometer. Glad I bought this set.

Seems to vary temperatures in a wide range. My refrigerator digital is set at 38. Most times the Taylor reads 38, sometimes 35, sometimes 40.I know if you are opening the door a lot the temperature would increase, but this is not always the case.I guess this Taylor is reasonable.

I am very pleased with both the oven and fridge/freezer thermometers. I especially like how large the large the thermometers are making them easy to read. If you are using them in a smaller oven you may want to measure so you know what you are getting. I consider it a pro, but was surprised at how big they were compared to my old one. Twice the size. Great product. I highly recommend them.
