Your cart is empty.Carver’s screws are the perfect solution for holding odd-shaped work pieces when doing three-dimensional carvings. The tapered screw is threaded into a pre-drilled hole in the back of the work piece and tightened via a wrench or the square hole in the screw nut. The other end is placed through a hole in a workbench or table and secured in place with the large threaded wing nut. This 2 piece set contains one large screw and one small screw.

These are very well made, heavy duty for holding bigger carvings and sculptures. They really are not for smaller pices but work great otherwise.

The 1/2 is fine and works well. The 5/8 has the wrong size wing nut and the screw threads are stripped. Unusable!!! Would love a replacement

This is a very useful and well-made set of carver's screws. Very easy to firmly secure your carving block to any workbench. Compared to other options, it is a great value, especially as you get two well-made screws. Highly recommended.

I was not expecting the larger size of these carving screws. They do fit into my carving vise and are very well made. Definitely more suited for larger pieces of wood than what I have carved on thus far.They are both very sturdy and solid. Shipped in their individual bags and well coated with machine oil. A good clean and coat of your preferential rust preventive coating and they are ready to use.They shipped securely and arrived undamaged and on time. I will definitely get a lot of use out of both screws. Definitely would suggest anyone who carves wood to buy these.

The idea of this screws is excellent and its value for money but there is a Fault design.The head of the school is not sharp enough which leads to disengagement of the school from the wood

Haven't got a chance to review until now. Bought it three months ago. The pro is it's cheaper than the branded ones about 50% off, the con is it's not as good as expected, but it kind of works. Think twice before you buy. If you can afford a twice price one, go for it. If not, this one isn't too bad.

The carver's screw works great. I had borrowed one from a fellow carver and needed my own. It is exactly like the one he let me borrow, but it costs half the price he paid...and this one came with a smaller screw in addition to the full-size one.

I was watching a fellow woodcarver use one At PowWow this year as he was carving cotton wood bark. I was showing him some of my carvings that I did and told him how I cut my hand this past year when my chisel slipped. He was very helpful in answering my questions and showing me how you have more control over your work and chisel with two hands. I am currently building a carving bench where I can use this screw. I took pictures of the vice he was using. Then I found on line a plan on how to build that vice. After the bench and vice is complete I will carve my first cotton wood bark project now that I have the screw to hold my work. For what it is the price seams okay. I haven’t be able to find it on any other websites to compare the price.
