The crash bar is finished well and installs easily on my 2009 dyna fxdf. Two issues 1) the top bolt hole isnt machined straight so there is a small gap at the top mount 2) the foot pads slide around on the bar.No issues scraping this, though I have 13.5 shocks installed.

East install on my 08 Dyna Fat Bob, took about 30 minutes by myself, An extra pair of hands would have made getting the top bolt lined up easier but no big deal. They're sturdy enough for what I want, Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

Just replace the allen head screw with a hex bolt to make it easy to install and you are golden. Yes, the rubber foot pegs are worthless. Take off and throw in the recycling bin. But the chrome is nice and it fits good. And the price is great due to the Chinese working for slave wages. If that's what they want then we will accept it.

The bars arrived on time in good condition. They were hefty and sturdy but installation was challenging. The U bolts that mount the bottom of the bars to the frame were too wide and would not fit the holes on the bar mounting brackets. I didn't have a torch handy so I just put the bolts in a vise and squeezed them to make them narrow enough to fit the bracket holes. It worked but every time I tightened the vise I held my breath, waiting for the U bolt to snap in half. Fortunately, it did not occur. My other complaint about these bars concerns the molded polymer footrests. They are not mounted to the bars solidly. Rather, they spin around and slide down the bar when you put your foot on them. Quite honestly, if I hadn't spent an entire morning getting the damn things mounted, I probably would have returned them.

Good value to price point. When you install replace Allen bolt with a hex head. and or if you are good with hack saw and file, make a studFor the female metal block at the top of the crashbars. Secure with loctite. Then use a niloc nut on the inside of the frame for a secure hold and easy to socket.Check for fit as you tighten all around. You will really like these bars.

As usual, I ordered the bar and got it a couple days sooner than expected. Good job Amazon.I ordered this bar, in chrome, for my 2012 Harley Super Glide. Taking my time and laying out the tools I thought I'd need for installation before I started, it took me about 45 minutes by myself.As others have said before, getting the top bolt in is a booger. I used the included washer, but I also added a lock washer for extra security. It would help if the hex key bolt had a knurled head on it but I managed to get it threaded in without the knurling.I read where some buyers were less than satisfied with the supplied U-bolts. I'm not an engineer but the U-bolts appeared to be adequate for the purpose, and maybe they were up graded due to complaints.The foot rest "pads" do move around. Not sure how I will address this issue, or if it's even going to be an issue. (Still too cold to ride and try them out right now.) I have the option of adding highway pegs now if I want to.Overall I am happy with my purchase. The chrome looks real nice, the bar is comparable in weight to other highway bars I've handled, and it fit, even with the forward pegs the first owner of my bike installed.I sat on the fence a while before I bought mine. I don't have any regrets now that I have it.

I had this crash bar installed 2 months ago and it fits my 06 Dyna wide glide frame perfectly. It came with all of the mounting kits and such. I slid my bike for 20 ft this morning on an icy road this morning and this crash bar literally saved my bike frame, I only had some scratches on the gearbox and the clutch lever and that was it. Pictures are images before and after the incident. You can see the bar was bended heavily to the left side where I laid it down.
